beautifully made boots with rich color

"i ordered both black (size 7) and brown (size 6 1/2). my normal shoe size is 6 because Frye boots seem a bit snug so i ordered up. i guess the pullup boots are easier on size so 6 1/2 fits me better but still a bit roomy without socks.
both colors are rich and well tanned. the brown is a dark milk chocolate brown with toe area darker. black is as deep as ink. since theser are leather boots, they'll get scruffed but this should be good to add character to the boots.
the shaft reaches to my mid calf, not the most flattering but a good length to have pants tucked in or be under the pant leg. the opening is wide enough for my calf, of which is normal sized, not slim but not thick either.
the buckle is actually functioning, i can cinch the top tighter so the boots would stay on better after the leather's been stretched from wearing.
the only thing i'd worry about is the threading on the outsole.
overall, these boots seem well made and comfortable out of the box. recommend!"
