The bodice is doubled (no slip) and the straps are not adjustable. It is somewhat transparent but not completely. It also doesn't have a waist but more of a straight or slight A line shape.
You can wear a white long sleeve turbleneck under and black leggings and a cropped motor jacket to have a good looking outfit without being cold or too revealing.
The whole garment looks and feels well made. At the sale price under twenty, it is a good investment piece."

"Tried this on a whim when I was in-store, and it ended up being my favorite piece I'd tried that day. I'm not usually into the "mullet-dress" style, but I found the cut of this one modern and subtly sexy. Great fabric, has lots of movement, and the chiffon over the slip was exceedingly flattering. I like the subtle detail of the straps in the back, and it actually created a cool lattice effect with my bra straps so I didn't have to feel trashy with them showing. I wore with thigh-high stockings, chunky wedges, and a cropped blazer. Great for going out or dressing down for a grunge-style day dress. It runs a bit big in the hip area -- I'm usually a small (5'6", 122lbs, 34B-C, size 2-4), but I ended up buying the XS for the fit. The XS is pretty tight in the bust, for example I can't wear padded bras (no vickis dream angels with this one!!), but I preferred the fit in the hip to that of the small, and didn't mind feeling a bit flat on top; the leggy-ness makes up for it. I would suggest trying your normal size and a size down to see which you prefer. I may be in the minority, but I just wanted it more fitted waist through hip. I'd definitely recommend this, especially at the sale price!! (I paid full and still found it to be worth it!)"
