Fantastic dress

"I'm 5'3 120 lbs. and the small fit great. It's comfortable, the gold is gorgeous, I LOVE the pockets, it's the perfect height(about 6 inches above my knee) and the stitching is beautiful. I don't regret buying this at all."

Wanted to love it

"I agree with teaparty's review about an odd fit. I wanted to love this dress, but it draped oddly and wasn't that flattering. I think for me it's mostly because of my shape (I'm shorter and curvy, but have a smaller waist).
It might be better in a darker color...I got the mustard/gold. It's going back."

"I ordered the gold dress for New Years, and immediately fell in love with it! I liked it so much that I bought the red for Christmas too. Perfect for the holidays, but also for the whole year. The colors are beautiful and the fit is great."

"I never thought I'd wear velvet, but I really like this dress! Fits well and the fabric is stretchy, I would recommend belting however! Length is also good, not TOO short. I know you have to take a chance with Urban Renewal items but I like how mine turned out!"

Odd fit

"The dress is a lovely color and fabric. It's unlined as I expected. The bottom half of the dress is quite cute actually - the pockets kind of make an interesting silhouette that isn't evident on these models. Maybe it's just my hips, I don't know. The dress runs normal in size. The sleeves are a little tight but stretchy so not really a problem, and it's a good length. The real problem with the dress is the waist/cinched/surplice section. In the pictures shown online the material is nicely cinched but when I received the dress, there was a large amount of extra material hanging over the left portion of the dress which was asymmetrical to the other side. The right side was cinched fairly tightly and the left side was overly drapey over the waist. I tried to make it look right but I just couldn't so I'm going to return it."
