Who doesnt love burgundy?

(April 2, 2013)
"This sleek loafter is such a great buy. The sizes run one size bigger than your normal footwear. Its easy to clean and super stylish, but one flaw would be the soles because theyre very soft so little materials like rocks can indent them."

They look good, but....

(March 24, 2013)
"they are cheaply made. I like color and only paid $35 for them, but I didn't expect them to rip as I put them on for the first time. The holes where the laces go through are bare, and as I pulled the laces to tighten the shoes on my foot......the laces ripped through the material! They didn't rip through all they way, so I can still wear them by not lacing them too tight, but it's still pretty sad that they are made so badly."

about to purchase when reading reviews...

(January 16, 2013)
"changed only my decision in which size to order, which will be a half, maybe an entire size up, depending on what is in stock.
I was pleased to find a nice pair or deep burgundy/black patent leather shoes at such a great price. It seems no one wants to either make or stock a once classic color, one that pairs up with suits so easily and gets many compliments. My previous pair has had its last shine and cost me 189.99 about 15 years ago. I am not expecting near the same quality and call me a fool if I did.
What I don't understand is in the case of a couple of other reviews is how a person could think these were BLACK patent leather shoes. While scrolling though the thumbnails, I stopped immediately when I noticed that deep, rich, red hue that I hadn't seen in anything other than Penny Loafers at a different brick & mortar store for well over $100.00. Upon clicking the thumbnail and mousing over the shoe, the zoom kicked in and really let the true color show through. I guess looking solely (pun intended) at the "reference color square, the one that is about 1/4" square", that looked black, but looking at every view of the shoe, there was no way I could mistake it.
Thanks for continuing to stock this more and more difficult shoe/color combo and at a very reasonable price.

Unexpected Quality

(January 12, 2013)
"Similar to the other reviews, this shoe is not black but more so a dark burgundy or dark wine. With that being said, the shoe still looks very stylish and good for 39.99. Even though its not what I was looking for I still like the shoes very much!"

"These shoes are not black, they are definitely brown. The size 10 i ordered is smaller than any 10 i've ever tried on and when they are in your had they feel really cheap. The bottom sole lacks any density and the leather is very thin.
I am returning my pair."

returnsville

(November 23, 2012)
"it's a cool shoe...but it's also not black, and nowhere near true to size.
took these out of the box, and was shocked that i'd chosen to order purplish-brownish shoes, but i figured i'd keep them if they fit. i was even more shocked when my bare foot was nearly the size of the entire sole. i wear an 11 in a proper handmade dress shoe and a 12 in anything else. these can't be more than a 10.5. i had to severely loosen them and use a shoe horn. i get that they're patent, and stiff, but still.
bottom line...they're small and purplish. and also going back."
