lipstick l o v e

(February 7, 2013)
"i'm more usually a lip balm girl but for those darker days i decided i wanted a black lipstick && for someone who doesn't wear much to any lipstick at all i decided to buy this with a giftcard so i wouldn't feel too bad if i ended up disliking it.. well its safe to say i definitely don't dislike it. i love it. it doesn't make your lips dry, i didn't have to reapply often, & it smells amazing! i've never smelled a lipstick that smells so good! i
highly recommend this lipstick"

Gothic Lolita

(December 8, 2012)
"The lipstick isn't the best ever, but it's pretty good. The texture is kind of like a mixture between gel-like and creamy with a good amount of pigment, but it doesn't feel smear-y or heavy. The staying power is good for this kind of consistency, but not as good as a more matte lipstick for example. I still liked it enough to buy multiple shades. I find the rose shade to be especially lovely.
I think the packaging is the biggest perk in my opinion. It really reminds me of the gothic lolita style, and it's much more appealing than most brand's other boring tubes. I actually have taken to removing other lipsticks and re-tubing them into my empty Anna Sui lipstick tubes, so I'm really getting my money's worth by reusing these pretty little things. It makes the splurge of purchasing these lipsticks a bit more tolerable.
Lastly, the signature Anna Sui rose scent is quite nice, without being too overbearing.
All in all, the product is like the packaging- slick, opulent and very girly. If you think the price is worth it, treat yourself to at least one of these and feel like a bit like a dark princess while you touch up your makeup.
Only thing I was really disappointed in was the "blush" color. I thought it would be more of a soft pink (I mean, it is called "blush!), maybe with an orange undertone, but it's the other way around. It's a sun set-esque orange with a little bit of a pink undertone. Not for me."
