Not worth it ..

"I bought 3 of these cardigans online.. and 1/3 was good in terms of fit, and patterns etc. The other 2 were horrible!!!!!!!! one was way to small to be an M/L and the other was way to big! the sizes are inconsistent.
The main problem i had was, I received one of the cardigans.. and it was covered in cat/human hair!! which was disgusting, knowing that i received an item which had been returned."

"I ordered this sweater in the large/medium size, and the one I got had a nice pattern. However the fit was really unattractive and boxy, and the material was itchy. Even for the sale price, it wasn't worth it for me, so I ended up sending it back."

"I was a little anxious while waiting for my sweater to get to me because of all the disappointed reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised :) . People are mostly disappointed because "what you see' isn't "what you get", but if you read some reviews or the description at the least, you'll understand the concept of Urban Renewal isn't just to make one mass-produced, uniform product, but a unique product for each customer. Before buying this, you need to understand that you're taking a chance and shouldn't be that dissapointed if its not what you expected. Afterall, the returns are free and friendly feedback is encouraged by UO :) . As for my particular sweater, I got a small and it was a little oversized: Just how I like my sweaters ^^. The pattern is also has a nice, gray, cosby-esqué pattern, which I appreciate a lot! Don't let the negative reviews get you down, Urban Renewal. I like ewe :D"

Great for the price

"I ordered this in a small on sale and considering that price, it's a great purchase! I got the smallest size I could because I knew it'd be a bit oversized. I'm about 5'8, 115 pounds, usually a size XS/S and it fits wonderfully. I ordered it in DARKS and received a subtly patterned black cardigan. It's a bit boxy in the shoulders if you're touchy about that. Also a little itchy at first before you wash it. OH and....don't dry it. Mine was perfectly oversized and now after drying it on low (following the label instructions) I have a regular sized cardigan that's a little too short in the sleeves for me, so I need to push them up. It's still cute though! Probably gonna order another one that I WON'T dry since the price is so low and I always love the surprise of urban renewal."

"This was my first time purchasing an urban renewal item and I was quite pleased. I think I just got lucky and got a good cardigan. It runs true to size, I'm 5'3 and 120lbs and got the s/m. I think it's a risk getting it but I think it's well worth it."

"I saw this on the internet, and fell in love. I know this is sort of a grab bag deal, but what I got in the mail was not what I expected at all. I ordered this in Blue Multi, and when I got it in the mail, it was mostly white, with some dark blue and green on it. It looked like an old super tacky gold sweater that I could find at the towns average thrift store. Overall, the quality was great but the sizing and pattern were horrid. I wasnt impressed."

"This is Urban Renewal and what you but WILL NOT be spitting image of what you will get, it is just based on the color schema of the sweater for example, light, bright, or dark. I ordered the light, and I like it, but I wouldn't pay 50 dollars on it."

"I would recommend going to the store and checking out the different styles for this cardigan so that you know exactly what you're getting instead of receiving a surprise on your doorsteps. I really like the idea of having my very own one-of-a-kind cardigan. However, some of the cardigans may have a boxy figure to them unless they are made out of softer material. The cardigan I bought didn't have boxy shoulders but it was sorta itchy. Other than that I really like it!"

"i ordered the blue/gray one and was hoping i'd be lucky to actually get that one but i got a green, red tribal one. i really liked it, but i was hoping for the other one. it's also big, i'm 5'2 and 110 and got the s/m. it covers my butt and it's big. i really love it so i'll settle for it! just don't expect anything close in the picture."

"i ordered this sweater in the smallest size possible, and it went down half my thigh. not only that, but the sleeves were WAY too short, and the buttons started at my waist, so it couldn't button up until almost the bottom. i'm so sad, because i was really really excited for this sweater..."

"As indicated, Urban Renewal clothing are all different. But, this sweater actually came really different. Nothing like the one in the picture. I actually like the design so I won't complain. The materials really nice and comfortable, loose fitting."

"I was very hesitant before ordering this sweater because of the whole urban renewal concept but I ordered it anyway in the white color and I wasn't disappointed. It wasn't the same exact model as the picture (they never are when it comes to this brand) but it had kind of the same colors so it was okay! I don't know why people still order urban renewal items without being aware that every piece is one and unique! I really liked this sweater, it runs true to size and has a baggy fit, it looks really good!!"

"So my parents ordered this for me as a birthday gift. We understand the concept of the Urban Renewal line and knew the colors of the sweater would be random. Not a problem. The issue was that we ordered it and were sent the complete wrong size, despite even our receipt saying S/M like we had ordered. Not sure if it's because it's Urban Renewal or this was just a slip up, but I'm very disappointed to be having to return it."

"This is a great sweater but what you see isn't necessarily what you get. What I got looked nothing like the model pictured. Mine is mostly a navy blue with muted maroon and forest green patterns on it. I still like it but honestly, I would have been in love with it if it looked anything like the picture and it just doesn't. Not even close."

"I ordered mine in the tan shade which I really loved when I saw it online, but when I actually got it the sweater I had ordered was not what I was expecting. The size was great it was cozy and the right fit but the color and the pattern were not what I had ordered. I thought I would be getting the tan version of the sweater but what I actually got was some weird 80's ski thing. The colorurs on my sweater are: blue, grey, and white which aren't bad but not as good as I had hoped for. Also, it's not just the colors that are off, the actual pattern isn't the same, the tan version has cool vertical stripes where as mine has weird horizontal ones. Over all the sweater is just OK it's not really what I had expected (and wasn't even an actual option to be purchased). I would suggest buying this if you're really into the 80's shape but if you would buy it because the pattern of it then I would suggesting not getting this."

"I absolutely love my sweater, and the thrill of not knowing exactly what I was going to get made it all the more fun.
If you aren't a person who likes surprises, or is more conservative, I wouldn't suggest ordering this sweater. But if you are willing to live a little more on the edge, and are fine with potentially wearing a quirky stand out sweater you should definitely go for it. I ordered the S/M and was very pleased with the sizing. Mine did have a rather large hole in one of the seams. It didn't bother me I sewed it up quick, and I personally believe it added more character. I loved my sweater and the experience so much I am thinking about ordering another one."

"I ordered the black-red-blue combination just like in the picture, but what I got is a green-black-white that could have been mistaken as my granny's. The size is also too big in the arm even though it's an S size."
