AWESOME.
(January 4, 2013)
"This is a staple piece in my wardrobe for winter!! It keeps me so warm and I love the big pockets. I can hold my gloves, phone and many other things! I typically wear a M but I got a L because I wanted to be able to layer underneath without it feeling tight in the shoulders. I like how you can either button it up or zip it up for complete cosy-ness and warmth! :) The color is a tad darker than the photo online--more like an army green. I receive so many compliments! Definitely get this it's totally worth it!"

Love it but definitely has it's cons
(January 4, 2013)
"I live in Canada and I bought this jacket in the US. The price is good for the quality of the jacket. I've had this jacket for about 3 months now and I absolutely love it. The colour is a beautiful green. It is a pretty thin jacket but does keep you warm. I live in Canada so I've experienced cold weather. I wouldn't recommend wearing it in too too cold weather but it is perfect for the fall. As much as I love this jacket, there are things that aren't so satisfying such as the length. I mean I am 5'3 and I am wearing an XS. This jacket is a bit on the long side for me. Also the material is pretty cheap at that. There is a string in the hem at the bottom of the jacket where you can tighten the bottom, well both of the strings ripped off. Not severe damage but it still kinda sucks. I do believe that this jacket looks good on people of many sizes. I am 5'3 and weigh 105 lbs and I love how it looks on me. My cousin who is 5'5 and weighs 169 lbs wears a S and it looks great on her too. All in all, this jacket would look best on someone with height as it is kinda long. Hope this helped!"

great purchase
(December 31, 2012)
"i love this item. It's warm and cozy, even in the windy, cold boston winter. I love the big pockets, they don't look bulky even if you have a wallet in them. it runs big so I bought a Small (I'm 5' 7", 135lbs) and it fits well although usually I'm a medium. Also it's machine washable which is another plus!"

TOTALLY AMAZING
(December 25, 2012)
"Despite of the bad feedback I found here on the website, I went to a store and tried it on. I loved it. It definitely runs big and it's way greener than pictured, but it's perfect for a light winter."

SO DISAPPOINTED!!! :'(
(December 14, 2012)
"I can't even start to explain how devastated I was when this arrived. I live in Halifax NS and it was my first time ordering from UO. I knew that there would be a customs fee but when this arrived (after 12 business days) my customs charge was $110.00!!!! (I realize UO has nothing to do with customs) almost as much as this jacket, although to be fair, I ordered a couple other things and my total was 299.99, but still wasn't expecting that. Then, to add insult to injury (sorry for the bad cliche) I tried this on and it was horrible!!!! I was SO EXCITED for this jacket and read the reviews, contemplated for WEEKS, I bit the bullet bought a large (as per reviews) I am 5'8 155 pounds size 6-8 usually a Med, this jacket was HUGE! It just looked horrible and tightening the strings made it look even worse, not to mention the fact that it is SUPER THIN. I was expecting this of course, but come on, you would have to wear AT LEAST two heavy sweaters under this for winter weather in Canada which in Halifax, doesn't even compare to how cold it is in, say, Calgary, we don't even have snow yet and it's not into the below freezing temps.
I really want to return this, as well as a dress (which wouldn't go over my forearms/OR cover my butt) However, I am unsure what little I will even receive once paying to send it back. Needless to say, I am very doubtful if I will ever order from Urban again :( and I say that with a heavy heart as I love this store and the closest one to me is in MAINE, a 8 hour drive...
Other comments to note, this jacket is a completely different color, much darker green, I find that it looks almost a dark khaki here. I fear that it would only look good on me if I bought a small, then of course I wouldn't be able to put a sweater under and it would be too cold. I hope this helps other who have been contemplating this purchase."
"I bought this coat thinking it would be my winter coat for here in NY. Wearing it now makes me think that it will not be warm enough when real winter weather drops. I'm 5'2" , 125lbs and bought a small and it's a little baggy on me. However, it ripped at the back when I was trying to bend down, not at the slit but above it. I have since repaired it myself but am afraid of moving freely in it just so it won't happen again. Also, the inside pockets are both ripped. For the price, this jacket is extremely poorly made and not worth it. I doubt it will last me through the season."
"This is the second of this jacket that I've bought. The first one ripped just above the slit in the back (but the actual slit did not rip at all) when I was getting into a friend's car. I returned it and ordered a new one, and this one is already torn on the insides of the sleeves. This jacket does not fit me tightly at all when relaxed, but is restrictive when I move my arms forward because of the tightness in the shoulders, which may have contributed to the tearing. I have done nothing, however, that I believe this jacket shouldn't be able to handle, which has caused me to take away 2 stars. If you want a light jacket for weather around 30ºF and you don't care that you might have to toss it after this winter, buy it."

AHHHMAZING <3
(November 25, 2012)
"I usually don't bother to write reviews, but I have to share about this jacket. Like everyone else, I was skeptical to buy it because of the price...so I went and found it in the stores so I could try it on just to be sure and it was so snuggly! I'm 5'9 and athletic and usually jackets are tighter in my arms when the sizes are smaller but this one fits perfect!!! I bought a medium and it goes a little above middle thigh, super soft on the inside, and not too tight or too loose. Just right to keep you warm...but just in case there enough room if you LOVE to layer! You could wear this jacket for years!"

JUST WHAT I WANTED!
(November 21, 2012)
"I've been going back and forth whether or not to buy it, for it's price. I read all of the reviews, they were all positive. So i thought "What the heck just buy it!" i'm a small (5'5, 109lbs) i read it kinda runs big but kinda runs small. i got the small, fits like a charm. The sleeves are a little long, but i have short arms so it might not be the same for you. Perfect for cold weather, it has fleece fabric inside so it will definitley keep you warm. Overall i would defo recommend this jacket to anybody:)"

Best purchase from BDG
(November 17, 2012)
"This parka is lightweight and thin but still keeps me incredibly warm. Just purchased it is a small instead of my usual xs (5'7 106 lbs). Although it is a little big the sleeve length is perfect. The color is a little on the greener side than shown in the picture but all in all a still such a great buy. Got it in store and not online and saved $20."

Great Jacket
(November 15, 2012)
"I have been wearing this in 30-40 degree weather and it has kept me quite warm, but with additional layers of course. It's very comfortable, has a pull string around the waist to give you some shape, and goes with a lot of things.
I am 5'6", 126 lbs, and the small fits perfectly. I could have gone with an extra small, but the arms were too tight.
Be wary if you have bigger arms."

LOVE
(November 14, 2012)
"I just got this and I LOVE IT! I usually wear a medium or a small at urban, I'm 5'9" and 130 lb for reference, but I ordered this in a large and I'm very glad I did. Everything fits but the arms are a little short for me. It goes down to just a few inches above my knees. Its very warm and very cute! Just what I was looking for."

Not What I Wanted..
(November 12, 2012)
"Nice material jacket, but not what I wanted at all. Very soft outer material which would be very susceptible to tears and damage. Would be a warm fall jacket, but not for Canadian winters. Tight in the arms/shoulders and on the butt but if I had of sized up it would have been huge in the chest/body. Much longer than what it seems in the picture, not worth $160. Definitely returning this jacket."

Great winter jacket
(October 29, 2012)
"I love this jacket. I saw it online and felt wary about some of the reviews so I went to a store and tried it on a fell in love. It's comfy, soft and looks really cute with pretty much anything. It's a little more green in real life, but still a great neutral colour. I am usually a size XS (I'm 5'2" 106 lbs) but I sized up to a S and it is the perfect size to fit hoodies or thick sweater underneath if I need extra warmth. I live in Calgary and I think this jacket with a sweater or 2 underneath would be just fine to withstand the crazy cold we get here. I also wore it sledding and not only did it keep my dry and warm but it was really easy to clean afterward. Great purchase!"

Love it
(October 24, 2012)
"This coat is just what I was looking for. It is pretty warm for the weather I'm in (just moved to Seattle) and I love the relaxed style. It matches with anything-looks cute with jeans or even a dress. I am 5'8" 122 lbs and I got the medium because the small's arms were too tight for much layering. I wasn't sure if it was water resistant, but it is very very efficient in the rain."

Mostly good
(October 19, 2012)
"Agree this is an autumn jacket -- you wouldn't want to wear it in much below freezing. The sleeves are insulated but not with the black fleece. I think that this parka is quite warm relative to its very light weight. The outer fabric is a very light silky polyester-cotton blend which makes the parka supple and it hangs well. The hood does not detach, unfortunately. The parka is decently made and I think pretty fair value for money. I am 5'3" and 111 pounds, and the XS fits on the snug side. The S would be too large. The sleeves are surprisingly narrow. This fits over a very light sweater only. The color is a bit more toward green than the image here suggests -- it looks almost brown green on my monitor. I like the restrained styling which I think makes it look more expensive than it is. Was surprised that this showed up with absolutely no hang tags or detachable labels."

turned out well
(October 18, 2012)
"I saw this coat first in an UO store then checked out online and found that it was cheaper. It is very soft, warm and still light weight. Overall I found it to be a good purchase. I do find it a little tight in the back which I was expecting. I am a small person with a large bust and I usually have that problem buying coats. I would recommend this coat."
