"I like the dress enough to keep it but I definitely have some alterations to do. I am normally a small so based on others reviews I got an xs, it was a very good idea. The top fits me but the skirt part is still way too big. So far I've darted in the fabric on both the front and the back which has made it much better, but it still needs some work. The zipper on the side is a bit of a struggle to get up. The colours are also a little miss leading, the red is more orange-red, the dress is more gold tone overall, and the blue is more of a teal. The pockets are fun though and you can go bra-less (I'm a C) because the top is tight and the fabric is thick so it hides it well. The fabric is a bit stiff, but it is still a neat dress."

"Beautiful design and fabric, horrible fit. I'm usually a standard size 8 (AU) so I got a S. It was far too big around the waist and below the arms. I suggest getting one size smaller than you normally wear."

"I loved the design of the dress, but it fits terribly! I'm 5'6 and usually wear a size 2 and I was literally swimming in a size small. The fabric was really stiff and the chest area was gigantic, and wouldn't have worked unless someone was a at least a C. The straps were also set for someone with really broad shoulders. Overall, I wouldn't recommend this dress, it's not worth your money."

"Such a beautiful, mesmerizing fabric, I was so excited to see it in person. However, I laughed the entire time I had it on. I am a size 12, 36D-30-42, and a Large is usually fine for me in Jack BBD, but since this fabric has no give and the dress is very structured, it was stiff and bunchy wherever it didn't fit perfectly - which was everywhere. Basically it looked like I was wrapping myself in a stiff curtain. A shame, because I still love the fabric. It would probably work better on someone not curvy who is the exact shape of the dress."

Most amazing dress I've ever purchased

"I love BB Dakota because of their lined dresses and skirts. I have two skirts from them and they both fit wonderfully, size 6.
I figured a medium would do because i'm 34D, 30waist, 39hips. However, it was way too big all over. I figured before I decided to just alter it I'd try the small on and glad I did. It fits like a freakin' glove.
The all over design matches my vintage-esq style and better yet, you can wear a bra with it... It's hard to find cute dresses where you can do that! LOL."
