"I should've listened to the other reviewers who said order a half size smaller. I ordered my normal size 8 and my heel is popping out of these when I walk. They are a cute boot, and I love the color, but I will have to send them back."

"I love the shoes. Everyone was right when they said that the toes and heels are worn, but I don't mind that- they'd wear anyways. They slip on easily, but I would definitely recommend ordering a half size smaller. Overall, I am happy with them even if they're big!"

cute but hard to fit

"I am usually a 7 in shoes, sometimes even smaller in boots because they tend to be a bit wider and I have wide, but short, feet. I tried these on in the store in sizes 7 up to an 8.5, and could never get my heel past the opening. I don't know why I had such a hard time, but I was really disappointed. I noticed another girl later on having difficulty just getting her foot in the shoe as well. That being said, they look really good sitting on the table and seemed to be made pretty well."

"I got these in black and I'm very happy with them. They go so well with pants or leggings and are quite comfortable, considering I almost never wear heels. I've also gotten several compliments! One thing I don't like is that they run large. I would order a half size down."

"I have purchased the Ecote brand from UO before, and I think it's great. I ordered the taupe color of these boots, and was shocked to see that the toe and heel were significantly darker than the rest of the boot. not as pictured at all. In the photo it looks ever so slightly darker - the whole: made-to-look-worn-in look. but the color on the boots I received was so contrast-y that it looked like they were two-toned, and it looked really funny/cheap.
The overall construction and material of the boot was exactly what I had in mind, and as of others have said they do run a bit big in the ankle. Though they fit snug in the toe, I think a half size down would have been too small. it's just really roomy in the ankle.
Really disappointed. I'm returning them today."

"These boots were so cute at first. I got them in all black. I loved them and they match so well with all my outfits. The suede is really poor looking though, and it looks really cheap. But for the regular price, they were just a nice simple pair of booties to add to a casual outfit. I wore them to work one day, and the heel fell off. I'm not even sure how. Thank god I work at a shoe store because we had shoe glue in the back so I could try to fix them, however it didn't work very well and I still had to be extra cautious walking in them. I don't think I'll even try wearing them again even with the glue because it's just too risky of a situation. These are definitely not worth it at all."

"I absolutely love these boots, they have become my favorite. I purchased the burgundy color in store and got them for 39$! im going to purchase the navy color also!! So cute !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do not hesitate to buy, they go with everything."

"I love the look of these boots online, and was especially drawn to the red/berry color. However, when I received them, I was not impressed. Like comments before me, the scuffing around the foot/toe looks dirty. The boots also have no grip on the bottom. Very cheap looking. I returned."

"Love these shoes, I have the black ones and I wear them with my leggings all the time. I can seriously walk all day with them, in fact, I was able to walk in NYC all day and go dancing at night without swollen feet or blisters! There's enough of a heel but won't hurt your back when walking in them."

"Not sure what UO was going for here... have the boots in black, love them. Ordered them in red and love the color but the scuffing on the toe and heel look horrendous. It looks like your shoe is *terribly dirty*. I will definitely be returning them. I will attempt to order another pair and see what happens.... I would have given 5 stars if the quality was consistent. I saw a friends paid in the blue and they did not have this black scuffing. Just weird and poorly quality control I assume."

"I am always looking for a cute pair of boots that are comfortable (it's almost impossible), but found the perfect combination in these. I attend a lot of shows and am very short, so I love to wear heels. With these, my feet are not aching walking back to my car at the end of the night.
I was a little wary about the wear on the toe of the boot, but it's not too noticeable. I wear a 6.5, but purchased a 7, and they are so easy to walk in. Got them in red and used a leather waterproofing spray on them. They are a little slippery, but it was an easy fix by purchasing some non-skid pads for $1 to adhere to the bottom.
Get ready for compliments from everyone. I promise."

"I ordered these in a 10 and they were huge (and came with scratch marks on them). So I returned them and ordered them in a 9 and they arrived in a size 10 (with the toes all scuffed up). I give up."

"I can see why others would like this because the material and construction are nice. I got the black and the suede was nice, and like everyone is saying, the wear on the toes is quite evident, even on black. I don't really like the irregularity of it and the style is more formal than casual I think so I'm returning it, even though it's on sale..."

"I ordered the maroon boots. I was so excited to get these. When they arrived they had black stains all over the front and back part of the boot. I am really bummed these didn't work. They looked really cute in person. Not happy with the quality. I wish UO would check their stuff before sending it out to customers! Returned!"

"I got these boots in the brown color (which is really more of a cognac than an actual brown), and I love them! I can tell they will be very easy to wear on a daily basis (I do a lot of walking for my commute, so this is an important factor in everyday shoes), the heel height is totally comfortable. As others said, the toe and heel area are made to look more worn than the rest of the shoe, but I like it! Also as others said, if you go between two sizes (I usually wear a 6 or 6.5), go with the smaller size and they should fit fine.
The only small issue I have with these is that the sole is super smooth, so until they are worn in/scuffed up some more on the bottom, they will definitely slide on certain types of flooring."
