Awesome

(April 30, 2013)
"I've had my terrarium for about 2 months. I was worried that being made of glass, it wouldn't survive a trip in the mail, but it was completely undamaged.
It hasn't rusted, and I honestly don't understand why other reviewers are complaining about leaks. I've never, EVER, heard of a typical houseplant that didn't need ample drainage, especially for succulents, like the ones in the picture. When it's time to water, just like all the plants in my house, I simply move it to a plate in the kitchen until it's done draining.

Leaks & Rusts

(March 18, 2013)
"As other reviewers mentioned, this terrarium leaks. I solved that problem by using clear silicon caulk at the joints. But after all that extra work of caulking the terrarium, it got very rusty within a month or so. If you fill the terrarium with soil and plants as pictured, it will rust. Very frustrating and a complete waste of money."

Not Worth the Money

(February 4, 2013)
"ter·rar·i·um
/təˈre(ə)rēəm/
noun.
A sealed transparent globe or similar container in which plants are grown.
It's poorly soldered together, and not in anyway sealed to make it able to hold plants or even dirt. Yes, it looks pretty, but I can get pretty terrariums elsewhere for that price or less that are actually able to hold plants. I don't even know what I'll do with it now since it's intended purpose is null and void."

Okay, but not as a terrarium

(January 10, 2013)
"The Pros:
*Good size, about 7 inches high. Small enough for a windowsill, big enough to avoid looking like a paperweight.
*Works great as a small rustic display for objects. The size of the door is pretty clear when you look at the photo - one panel. So you can easily fit a few nicknacks inside.
*Arrived safely from a very long journey around the world :)
The cons:
*The catch on the little door was badly bent (not in transit, in manufacture I believe) and can't be properly closed.
*It was super dirty on arrival. Thick layer of grimy dust that wasn't so easy to clean through the little door.
*It has a much rougher look than pictured, with unfinished corners and much lighter metal.
*It's not suitable for live plants, as it quickly corrodes in damp. Best kept for other decorative things.
So, recommended, but not for plants!"

Poor made.

"The edges are not complete soldered together meaning the water can seep out of it."

hmm.... its okay.

(October 15, 2012)
"don't get me wrong, it looks great! But it is pretty poorly designed. first of all, the one pane of glass that opens is pretty tiny, so you wanna have small hands to get inside it. I've planted a number of terrariums in my time, i know how to make them and keep them healthy. But the poor succulent i planted in this thing didn't seem to like the environment at all and died on me. When i cleaned it out to try the whole process again, i noticed all of the metal had oxidized and rusted where the soil had been... after only a few weeks!! Not only that but the hinge on the little opening had broken off... so its now hanging on one edge only. I have since cleaned it out and filled it with air plants, which don't need soil and can be removed to be watered to avoid further rusting. Which is pretty much the only way i would recommend using this thing. I have another hanging terrarium from UO that has held up beautifully... so i don't know why this one is such poor quality."

Wonderful!

(August 4, 2012)
"Received it in 4 days with standard shipping. It's size is exactly as expected. I expected the metal to be black, but it's more of a dark gray. It looks great!"

LOVE THIS!

(July 25, 2012)
"I absolutely loved this terrarium when I first saw it online! I picked it up at a local UO and it's fantastic! It's definitely tricky trying to get the plants in there, but it's worth it in the end! It's going to be a great addition to my dorm :D"

Loving it

(June 23, 2012)
"Picked this up yesterday and put a succulent arrangement in it this morning. I'm not quite sure how one would hang it but it looks great just sitting as a centerpiece on my coffee table. Be sure you have some tools on hand to reach in there... it's like putting a ship in a bottle! Tongs, tweezers, spoon, and brush all helped. Happy planting."

freaking sweet

(May 20, 2012)
"Right when I saw this little beauty I knew I had to get it. First of all, I love cacti. (or in this case, succulents.) Plus, the design is freaking awesome. The size it wonderful, but in the picture on here it makes it seem bigger with the many plants in it, but in reality those plants must be tiny. Succulents do grow really slowly so if you happen to find tiny ones it'd be perfect for this.
Only down side is if you have hands on the bigger side, it will be a little difficult to fit them and maneuver them inside this in order to set your plants.
