"boots arrived in canada after 10 business days, could've been a lot faster if it didn't take so many days to go from being labelled to being given to USPS though!
i was really worried about the sizing since people were commenting about the narrowness so much, so i found a size chart online. those, however, only give length and not width. my feet are about 9.5" long and 4" at their widest so i ordered an 8.5 as i thought the width would actually be an issue (i usually wear an 8). then they got here and it turns out the 8 would have been perfect (and could even stretch a bit), and the 8.5 is roomy (some heel slippage). as someone who typically has issues with foot width, i think some people might be overreacting a bit? the material definitely has a lot of give, too.
the heel material looks kind of cheap but it's more noticeable up against the black than it is in the putty colour, i don't think this is a huge issue. the shoes are so soft and the greatest shape, i love them so much and they go with everything. definitely going ahead to order a second pair. thanks urbn!"

Perfect ankle boots

"I loved the look of these online, and decided to purchase them in the taupe in a 7 (I'm usually a 7.5). Sizing down was the right thing to do, they fit perfectly. They look great with skinny jeans, and now that it's almost winter here, I know I'll get a lot of wear out of them over the coming months. Might have to get another pair, maybe in the black."

Great little boot!

"I really hesitated to buy these because I don't like ordering shoes online, especially shoes in this price range. I hate spending so much money, getting them in the mail and having them not fit.
However as more and more positive reviews went up, I decided to take a chance on these beauties in black. I'm so glad I did!
These boots are gorgeous in person. The suede is so soft and luxurious that it almost looks like black velvet. They're extremely well-structured and have a great sturdy heel.
I listened to the reviews which advised sizing down, so I ordered a 9 instead of my usual 9.5 or 10. I'm glad I did, as they fit perfectly, length-wise. I have plenty of room in the toe.
It is true that they are on the narrow side. It takes a little bit of wiggling to get them on, but they are comfortable and don't hurt my feet. I anticipate them stretching out a little bit, as they're suede.
I think part of what makes these feel so narrow is that they are extremely well-structured. I purchase a lot of low-quality footwear which tends to be softer and more comfortable right away, but degrades quickly as there's no arch or heel support. With cheap shoes and boots, my foot will completely flatten the arch and eventually the heel will shift off the sole and look crooked from behind.
These boots, however, zip up nice and tight and have a high, stiff reinforced heel (pictured in the photo attached to this review). It's harder to get them on but I can't imagine them becoming squashed, flattened and crooked over time as my cheap boots do.
Long story short... if you're hesitating, go for it. Go a half size down. And if they feel narrow, don't sweat it!"

Great Shoe a little Narrow

"This booties are a great basic boot. I really love them, but they are a little narrow around the toe and the top of the foot. I got blisters on my pinkie toes and the top of my foot walking to the train (20 min walk) on my first wear, but I'm hoping I will be able to break them in so I can wear them again. If you find that shoes can be too narrow for you these boots aren't for you. I would have purchased these in a wide if there was an option, but I loved them so much I had to have them and risk it. If you are wondering how narrow they are, I can't get my feet into steve madden's, but I could get them into these and I think I will be able to break them in at least here's hoping since I love the look of them so much."

"These are by far my favourite boots. I have them in the light tan colour, and they are gorgeous - super flattering on my legs and they go with pretty much everything. I am regularly a 10 and I read the reviews and sized down to a 9. Best decision, they fit perfectly, so I would recommend that you size down if you are in doubt.
Get these boots! I wish I could have them in every colour. The oxblood is deffs next on my wishlist."

"One of my best shoe purchases of late. I'd been eyeing these shoes for a while, but I was nervous about the size. I had tried on some other Sam Edelman shoes in the past, and they were far too narrow for my feet - and I don't even have wide feet! So I took a risk ordering these online and ordered one half size up. They fit perfectly. They are incredibly comfortable and I wore them straight out of the box."

"I just got these in brown. I found they were very true to size. They look amazing on and are quite comfortable. The suede is super soft! I saw them at the mall for $200, so definitely buy these online here if you're thinking about getting them."

"i got these in burgundy and i love them. nice quality and adorable, obviously. i usually wear 9, but got the 8 1/2s because they were out of 9s. they fit great. i'm poor and probably can't pay rent now BUT ITS SO WORTH IT."

"i'm always a 7 and i got these in 7. the width is perfect but it runs long. i have another pair of sam edelman booties that i had to get in a half size smaller. anyway, these are the perfect everyday casual bootie. cute with everything and sooo comfortable. putty is such a versatile color as well."

"These boots are amazing! They are very versatile and you will not regret buying them. I can see myself wearing these boots for years. They are true to size. I usually wear an 8 in shoes and have never gotten a pair of Sam Edelman's before, but an 8 fit perfectly. The taupe color is great! I plan to buying them in black as well."

"I got this in the maroon in size 7 and loved them. Very comfortable. I have a narrow foot and they are for sure a narrow fit, first time I wore them, they rubbed a little on my toes. But once they are broke in, they are great. I might recommend going up a size if you do not have a narrow foot. Look great with jeans!"

"These Sams never seem to disappoint me! Seriously my favourite purchase in a while. I got the taupe one, which is really light, so I don't wear it often as I want to. (Don't like getting them dirty) But other than that, I am planning to invest in a black pair that I can wear everyday when I'm going to school! Super comfy and super chic."

"I love this boot! Really versatile and comfortable. They are pretty slim fitting for the most part. I can normally wear a 7-7.5 but sometimes an 8 and I definitely went with the 8. So my advice is go a size up from what you normally wear!"

"I absolutely love these booties. I bought the maroon suede to liven up my shoe wardrobe and was not disappointed. I typically wear an 8, so that's what I went with. The fit is good -- not too tight or loose. I have worn them a couple times and they are very comfortable. So far I have only worn them with black skinny jeans, but I think they would be cute with shorts and dresses as well.
Take note if you have never worn this style of shoe before, the soles on these are very smooth and will not give you much traction on other smooth surfaces such as tile or coated concrete. You should be fine as long as you are not trying to run a relay race on a polished tile floor (bad idea).
These are well worth the money. They are buttery soft suede and seem to be well put together, so they should last you quite some time if you take care of them properly. At some point I will likely buy another pair of these in a neutral color (probably the black) and would recommend them to anyone looking for a stylish, good quality ankle boot."

"I went to soo many story in search of the perfect black ankle boots and couldn't find anything close. These are perfect!!! I got the black and the tan and they are really good quality. They fit my feet kinda weird right now but I think that when I break them in it'll be better. They are so soft and look good with everything!"
