A Welcome Reissue of a Classic Holiday Album
(December 13, 2011)
"This record has been my favorite holiday album for as long as I can remember. It was released long before my birth, and my father was a fan of the Muppets, so I've been listening to this annually since before I could speak.
The album is a collection of 13 wonderful holiday songs--seriously, there isn't a single weak cut. I'd give the music a 5/5.
I give the album 4/5 because, as cool as the clear green looks, I think the album would have sounded better on thick, black vinyl. As a prior reviewer noted, the LP is plagued by some volume inconsistencies.
All in all, however, any reissue of this classic LP is better than none, and it's nice to have my own brand new copy after years of listening to a scratchy original.
I'm hoping this reissue leads to reissues of other classic Muppet LPs. I'd love to get my hands on a reissue of The Muppet Show soundtrack!"

What's not to love?
(December 7, 2011)
"I got this as an early Xmas gift for my boyfriend and he loved it. The record is green, which is pretty awesome. It's the muppets. It's Christmas music. On vinyl. What's not to love? I docked a star because the beginning of the album played kind of funky--the volume would randomly lower during the first song, which was disappointing."
