"I saw this in the all-gray color online and immediately fell in love with this dress! I read the reviews about needing to go a size down, but my usual size (L) was all that was left so I took my chances and I'm glad I did!
It is, indeed, quite a bit loose under my arms and waist, but I just paired it with a thick black belt and it looked awesome! It didn't affect the nice opening in the back either. Great quick fix until I get to the task of taking it in under the arms.
Overall, great length (for us tall girls, I'm 5'9), curvy-girl friendly, feel-good fabric, but just a bit loose (fixable)."

"The colors are a bit different in person and are a little funky. Also, it's very heavy cotton and I wasnt expecting it to be as heavy as it is. Because of that it's hard to put an outfit together with it. However, the fit is amazing! I'm 5'6, 130 lbs, and wear a 32DD. I'm in love with the fit of the dress! Also, if you're conserned about the collar, don't be, it's not irritating at all!"

Opens too much in the back.

"I love the print and the pleating of this dress, but the back opens a little too much for my comfort. I read about how the dress runs a little big, and it definitely does. I usually wear a small, but I'm definitely going to try to get an extra small. Really gorgeous dress; it would be great for date nights or more formal occasions."

"I bout this dress because I loved the champagne and taupe colors, but when it came it looked nothing like the picture...its purple and bubble gum pink. Not exactly subtle. So I had to take it back, but as far as fit and all of that it was fine. I just can't really wear those colors."

"I like the design/open back/quality of this dress, but it was just way too short!! I'm 5'4'' and I got a size small. It fit fine, but it barely covered my butt. I'm pretty sure if I bent down to pick something up, all would be exposed. Sure, I could wear tights under in this weather, but.. that still wouldnt be very classy :( unfortunately, I will need to return"

I purchased the light grey animal print in xs, and it fits surprisingly really great. I normally wear smalls, but I wanted to avoid the baggy feel around the arms and neck that the other reviews wrote about.
I love the pleats, and I also like that if I wanted to look slimmer a belt fits perfectly over the start of the pleats. The print is also really great, not loud at all thanks to the great color. This cut gives me a nice hourglass like shape and it's super girly... The skirt part starts at your natural waistline.
My only complaint is the the bottom portion doesn't have a zip, so it's a little difficult to slip on since I really wanted that fitted look... hence 4/5 stars"

"I love this dress. All i had to do was add a belt to add a little zing to it. The only problem i had with is that it does run a little big. I'm 5'9 and about 160 and got a large it was fine every where execpt the bust and arm holes. But other then that amazing!!!!"

Not what I was expecting, but still a nice piece.

"It's an awkward dress in some places but these are things I'll probably notice more than others.. The fit around the neck is a little loose and it's a tad baggy under the arms.The fabric isn't as stiff as I thought which I think makes the garment poof out a bit in the front. It actually makes me look quite a bit pregnant, though I'm not sure I could've gotten away with a medium. I tried fixing it with a waist belt but the problem was only countered by a tight fitting vest or jacket, which of course means I miss out on the sexy surprise in the back. Also, it's not as short as in the picture. While on the model it falls mid thigh, on me it stops just short of my knees. I might end up hemming it because this length makes my short legs look even shorter. Overall though, the subtle pattern is very charming. The dress plays nicely with almost every color I pair it with, whether it be a bright yellow, a muted pink, or other neutral grays. Plus I thought with the higher neckline that scarves and necklaces would look out of place but both actually work quite well. It's not exactly the dress I was expecting, though, and I'm not sure I would've paid more than fifty had I known how it fits. It's definitely not the superstar I was hoping for but a nice supporting role."

"I purchased this dress for the holidays, thinking that I would wear it to a Christmas party. I ended up wearing something else, but I love wearing this dress just as a casual piece now! I wear almost only dresses and tend to overdress a little bit, but when I belt this I feel like it is appropriate. The dress is a little large under the arms and in the waist... Where it tapers in, there's a lot of extra room and the dress looks pretty strange without a belt. Overall, it is a beautiful and flattering dress though and I have gotten many compliments on it."

It is a tad big under my arms, but it's not a huge deal. Also, the waistline is higher than I had anticipated. I wear this with a waist belt. I love this dress and it makes me look like I have a nicer figure than I do. If you are in between sizes, I recommend sizing down. Overall, it was a great buy."

"when I ordered this dress, the smallest size available was a medium. I normally order a small, but by no means am I the smallest of people (37-27-36, 5"3) so I figured this would be fine. sadly, it was not fine. the dress fit acceptably along my chest, but the waist was huge and awkwardly high, the pleats then flaring out to give me a nice "65-year-old governess who has given birth to nine children" shape. I can see how this dress would be flattering if it were smaller, or if perhaps I had a different, less busty frame. as it was, I was disappointed. it looked so structured online, but the fabric (although warm) is too soft to hold any real shape. I recommend going into the store to try it on before buying it--that way, you'll be happy whatever your decision!"

"I'm 5'4 weigh about 125-128 pds, 34B, My upper torso is slimmer than my thighs and legs, so I guess you can say I have a pear shaped body.
I ordered this dress in a small and just received it in the mail today. The material is a lot thicker than I anticipated, however light and warm enough over the areas that its covering. The design is exactly what you see in the picture. Based on it being on a hanger, it's not the first thing i would spot in a store. When put on, its not as form fitting as I hoped it would be just like in the picture. the neck and underneath the arms is loose. The skirt portion is loose and extenuates my hips... and as posted in a previous post "did nothing but add weight to me". Its also lot shorter than I thought.
I suggest trying this in the store first instead of buying it online like I did. I'm sure that once I alter it in order for it to shape my body it'll look wonderful. Here's hoping *crosses fingers"

"I am 5'7, 127 lb and bought the S. it fits perfectly. A little short, but i like them short. It does gape a tiny bit in places, like under my arms and the back open parts, but its hardly even noticeable. I wore this dress out on saturday night and received so many compliments :) i can't wait to wear it again!!"

"Just got this in the mail after drooling over it for a couple weeks. I'm 4'10'', 125 lbs and a 34 c. I got a small, which I usually have to get whenever I get OU (I usually need mediums). It fits perfectly. The only problem is I can't get it over my boobs easily. The material is thick and beautiful but it needs to be ironed to show off the pleats. If you have a bigger frame, it may not look how you want it to since it hits at your natural waist. Overall, I'm thrilled with this purchase."

"I was super excited to get this dress because I read mostly all good reviews.This dress is awful. I am 5'4, and 120 lbs. This dress did nothing but add weight to me, wasn't tight in the neck, and the front of the dress was significantly longer than the back. Not happy with this purchase, returning ASAP!"
