Beware!

"I'm aware that each piece is one of a kind and after reading the reviews and details for this item I knew I was not going to receive exactly what's pictured. BUT I decided to take a chance and order it hoping I would receive one as pretty as the scarf the model is wearing. Unfortunately, when it arrived I was disappointed anyway. The style of the scarf itself is pretty but the fabric/prints used are just plain ugly and granny-like. Just a warning to anyone hoping to receive one similar or as nice as the one pictured you may be incredibly disappointed."

"I ordered the dark coloured one because i absolutely adored the colours and the print, and when i finally got it in the mail, it was absolutely hideous. It ended up being dark blue with a terrible flower pattern, black lace, and it wasn't sewn properly so it was all twisted backwards. I'm extremely dissapointed, and I will be returning it."

"I ordered the pink/orange one for a birthday present for my friend. I ordered it specifically because of the color and print, however I just got the scarf in the mail and received one with a hideous child-ish white and multi-colored floral print on it. I showed it to the friend and we just laughed because it was so heinous. Looking back I now see there is fine print stating each scarf will be "one of a kind", this should be stated more dominantly. And I don't understand the point of showing pictures in the first place. I am very unhappy and will be returning immediately."

"As much as I do love the product i received, it is not as it appears in the picture. Mine did have lace and numerous colored fabrics, however it had 2 floral and dark colored fabrics, and no orange. Be cautious when purchasing this product."

"I waited for the purple scarf to come back in stock for such a long time and when it did I immediately jumped on the opportunity to get it. When I received it I was so disappointed. I understand Urban Renewal products are handmade and all different so you are not going to get exactly what is pictured, but the scarf I received looked NOTHING like the one I wanted and didn't even have the same colour scheme. I'm very upset, it is ugly and I am returning."

"I ordered this scarf wanting the orange and black one and well I got one that is completely different and ugly. It has flowers all over it and really bright colors. Not happy about it and returning."

"I ordered the turquoise one and when it came in I had to go back to my order history and look at the picture- the one that I got is not at ALL how it is pictured! I don't mind the colors- it is very different than any eternity scarf I have but when you order it do NOT expect it to look like the picture. Mine ended up being 4 different 'patches' one was a navy blue with daisy pattern, a light blue with different flowers and then 2 of the 4 'patches' were a turquoise blue lace. I was a little disappointed but luckily, I like the colors and so do my sisters and mom so I will be keeping it."

"I ordered the "turquoise" one and they sent me completely different fabrics. Horrible. Completely unhappy, this was supposed to be a holiday gift and I am sending it back. If it were better material I might have thought about keeping it but it's not even that nice. I do not recommend unless you like surprises. PLUS there's an awkward amount of fabric so when you try to make it look like the model, it's either too tight or so loose that there's far too much open neck area. The only positive is that the blue lace material is stretchy."

"1. I know about urban renewal and the fact that you WON"T get what's shown in the picture.
2. So I ordered this in dark, and I received a paisley scarf with two different paisley patterns (as shown in the example that the scarf is made with 3 different types of fabrics, including the lace). I thought it was a very nice scarf, but it wasn't too colorful like I had hoped, nor were there a variety of patterns like I had seen in other photos. So I gave it to my sister and I'm buying another one tonight. It was a good quality scarf with soft and pretty fabric, and I like it, but I don't love it. However, it was thrilling to shop Urban Renewal because I LOVE not knowing what I'll get."

"I just wanted to let everyone know what's up with Urban Renewal items at UO because most reviewers seem confused. The Urban Renewal items are NOT garunteed to look the same as in the picture. That goes for ALL Urban Renewal items. The scarf in the picture isn't going to look exactly as what you get because it is a VINTAGE ITEM and is HAND MADE with recycled fabrics. The color choices for the scarf, if you take the time to notice, are just labeled DARK and LIGHT. I for one don't really care because I know UO is going to try and give you the best color possible. All the pictures by reviewers that I saw looked pretty cute to me. So just know, if you get an Urban Renewal item it will NEVER be the same thing you see in the picture."

"I did not read the reviews before ordering this scarf which was probably a mistake. I thought I was going to get the scarf that was in the picture because that is what usually happens (go figure). I just got this today and when I opened it, I immediately was in shock because it was not the one from the picture. It was super cute, but I wanted the black one with the orange, which I thought it was. I went back online and read the description and the reviews and then it made sense to me. I love the scarf that I got. The scarf has like multiple patterns/prints to it. Mine is navy blue, has black lace, and then a pretty floral pattern. I love that it's a circle/infinity scarf and with the different parts to it, it's something that I didn't already have so I was drawn to it even more. Had I known it was going to be like a secret santa mystery gift kind of thing I probably wouldn't have ordered it because you never know what you're going to get, and I usually don't like those things. But if you're into finding something surprising and wouldn't mind taking a chance on what you could get, then I would say go for it because for me it turned out to be a really good thing. You just have to be prepared for what you might get because it might not be your style or what you hoped for."

"I read the reviews but still decided to buy it. I got the white one with the floral, and it's completely different.. I just got it and one side has large strawberries on it and the other is yellow with tiny blue flowers. I tried to make it work but the strawberry part just looks like table cloth or something. If you want a surprise order it because I believe they are all different. But I am not satisfied."

"So a lot of the reviews (which I'm glad I read) seemed to be people disappointed that they didn't get the scarf in the picture. I think as long as you go into it wanting a surprise you will be happy with what you get. I ended up with a beautiful black lace one with floral scarves in between. It was an awesome surprise for $20. I think I will order the white lace one as well and see what I get! Definitely would recommend this product"

"My cousin bought me this for Christmas and I absolutely love it! Its so freaken cute<3 At first I didnt know how to wear it to have all parts of it showing so if you do get this, you'll have to figure out where to fold it so it looks cute :) Other than that, I love it and its my faaavorite scarf! +I dont normally like thin "fashion scarves" cos I normally like the chunky warm ones, but this was definitely an exception:)"
