"I ordered a M/L in olive, and they sent me an XL and it wasn't even appropriately baggy, it was HUGE and I literally looked like a 5 year old in it and I am 5'7""

"i ordered the creme sweater, i opened the box to find a huge coffee stain down the front of the sweater. extremely obvious and impossible to bleach out. i was very disappointed.
the sweater is of low quality and it is really itchy. you could find better sweaters than this at goodwill."

it's ok

"I ordered the white/cream color and was pretty disappointing. The cardigan I got is huge (the sleeves are 6.5 inches longer than my arms!) and the fabric is pretty cheap- the seams were already fraying a little when it arrived. It's not the worst, and besides all that it's pretty comfortable, so I'm not returning it, but I wouldn't recommend the purchase."

"This is a cool vintage cardi. Its pretty itchy and runs large (I got the M/L and it is very much an L) but its nice. If you're a vintage wearer you'll love this."

Yes, It's Urban Renewal but...

"It shouldn't be so misleading. I ordered the brown and the olive colour. When I opened my box I went for the olive one first, and I was extremely disappointed. Why? Well mainly because the colour was not olive, it wasn't even green in my opinion. So when I opened the brown one I wasn't too happy. But then I remembered I bought the brown one for work (since they were on sale at the time). So I kept it. And now I wear the brown one like all the time.
So yes, these do have mixed reviews. Here is what I recommend doing. If there is an Urban Outfitters near you, like for me and hour away, then go ahead and order because its a lot easier returning in the store, but if there isn't one then maybe find a different product so you don't have to deal with the hassle.
And just FYI I'm average sized (I would say) and 5'7 so I ordered the M/L for the brown and lets just say its extremely over-sized. So keep that in mind."

"I LOVE this sweater, it is so unique and comfortable, I bought the navy just so I could have a staple sweater and it was absolutely perfect. Don't expect to get the exact replica of the picture, it's urban renewal."

"Do not expect to the get exactly what your ordering.
I'm pleased with my sweater, the material wasn't the softest but it didn't look very soft in the picture so that's ok.
The size what decent a little large. The sweaters will vary.
I didn't get the logo on my sweater but I wasn't expecting it since the point of Urban Renewal is vintage. They choose pieces of clothing, they don't produce them. So they won't look the same."

"This sweater is amazing! I got the red one and brown one for the holidays and i loved it so much i went back and bought the black one. I am 5'0 and 72 pounds and i love the oversized look of it. It is not to big and not to small. I absolutly love this!"

biggest letdown from UO yet

"I've never been more compelled to write a review as I am after receiving this. I've been looking for a big sweater to wear this time of the year that would be big and warm and cozy, and the picture online looked like it was JUST the sweater I was looking for, so I was super excited for it to come in the mail.. but the second I opened it it was a huge letdown.
The concept of urban renewal sounded really cool to me, until I saw what I got out of it. The color was TOTALLY off ( I ordered the white color, and it came in like a dark oatmeal color) the fabric its made out of is UNBEARABLY IRRITATING, and the shape made me look extremely awkward.
Pretty brokenhearted about this sweater."

"I purchased this in the Red and I love it!
As I have a Large instead of Medium, It does run a little larger then it suppose to, but I personally prefer it that way.
The only difference is the one the model wore had a little crocodile or something on the side, where as mine does not.
Other than that, It's comfy, warm and looks great!! I recomend for winter :)"

"I was so excited to get this sweater in the mail. On the model it looked very comfy, and oversized. That was the COMPLETE opposite! It ran very small and the material was very itchy. I usually always love UO clothing, but this sweater was terrible."

"I ordered this in the green, because i LOVED the turtle and the dark green color. I was so excited when i finally ordered it; i had wanted it for weeks. When it came in the mail, it was such a let down. The green color was much lighter than it was in the picture, and there was no turtle! I still love the cardigan, but i really wanted a turtle /:

I really, really wanted to like it

"Before ordering this sweater I had read the reviews so naturally I was nervous about it. I got it in the yellow color and it was just awful. It was big yes, but it was really short and awkward. The shoulders stick out and made me look really man-ish. Also it was so scratchy that it was uncomfortable. I know Urban Renewal is hit and miss, but this was definitely a miss. You just have to test your luck with this. I plan on returning it."

"With Urban Renewal you will never know exactly what to be expecting in the mail. However I've found this to be true with tops and sweaters ordering with Urban Renewal: if you want an over sized fit, order your REGULAR size. You are more likely to get an over sized fit in the mail. If you size up, you'll end up with a product way too large. If you want a fitted product, SIZE DOWN. You'll end up with something similar to what the model is wearing most likely. Four times out of Five this works for me.
I usually order a small in sweaters and I ordered a small in the blue and I ended up with a medium. I absolutely adore the sweater I received. It's just the right amount of oversize. It looks exactly as featured in the picture, including the color."

best cardigan ever

"was wary about getting this because of all the mixed reviews, plus i'm from new zealand so if i get a product i don't like i generally can't be bothered with all the fuss giong into returning it. but i love this! it's so comfy and stylish. it goes with so many things! i got it in maroon and it didn't come with a little logo thing but i don't mind, i knew they were all different. this definitely runs large but that's the point of a boyfriend cardigan isn't it? :)"

"I know that this item has been receiving a lot of negative feedbacks and I was contemplating for a long while before taking a risk and purchased this cardigan. I am actually really satisfied with the cardigan I received. The material is really comfortable, no itches and is pretty much a perfect fit for me. I'm 5'3 (161cm) and average in size, weighing about 118lb (54kg).
This is a list of the faults, (which isn't that bad really):
- A little bigger than expected, big on the shoulder area and arms are really long (which I actually like).
- Colour was lighter than shown in pictures (Navy)
- No fox logo
Maybe I was just a lucky customer but I would recommend this product if they all look like the one i received. I hope this helped you out a bit :)"
