Great Jacket!

"Besides the itchy sleeves, this jacket is amazing! It's warm and a must have. I am a fairly built young girl and I ordered a Large and there's enough room for layering underneath! Like me, I could fit three layers underneath the jacket. Definitely my first and best purchase from UO! As you can see in the picture, the denim section of the jacket is just what I wanted - dark. Nonetheless, please excuse the filter on the photo."

Exactly What I Was Looking For :)

"This jacket is lovely! The denim body is vintage, light (but not bleached) Levi's and the sleeves are a thick cream cable-knit with green/marroon cuffs. I have short arms and this fit perfectly on me (I like that the wrists are tighter for about 3 inches) but I think it looks best pushed up to the elbows. The denim is soft but sturdy and the arms are super warm. The only complaint I have is that the shoulders are quite broad, but keep in mind I am only 5'2 and not broad-shouldered by any means. The length is perfect and the jacket fits comfortably (even across my boobs as I sometimes find buttons gape here). Not all of these jackets will be the same but mine is exactly what I wanted :)"

The perfect jacket

"You never know what to expect with Urban Renewal. In this case, my jacket that I ordered online came in a lighter wash than the one pictured. But I'm glad it did! The dark wash would have been cute, too, but I am so in-love with the lighter wash that it doesn't even matter. It's made from an old Levi's jacket and has little tears on it, which gives it a vintage look. If you have broader shoulders like me, then this is perfect for you. I stuck to my regular size (medium) and it looks great. The arms end a little past my wrists and I'm 5'4" so if you're taller and/or have longer arms, this could be a slight problem. Overall, this jacket is so unique and no two are the same. I would recommend this to anyone :)"

"The arms are really baggy and make me look really weird. My boyfriend even says it looks awkward on. The colors and style of the jacket are so so cute I just wish it looked good on me. I returned this sadly :/"

"I didn't think it could get any better than the photo, but it's just lovely. the sleeves are warm and comfortable, and not the least bit worn looking. The jean part is faded but in a great way and I love the color I received. the jean jacket says it's a "Lee" brand which is fine. it fits great and I can't wait to wear it with everything!"

Would have loved it, but...

"The jacket fit me really well, the design is cute, and it's comfortable, but when I opened the box the denim was like something out of the 80's. It looked stone-washed and nearly white and was absolutely NOTHING like it appears on the website. I was told it may be a defect but there's no way I could exchange it for something darker, as the way it looks is apparently the way they all look. There was also a tear in the collar, in the back at the center...I'm not sure if this was intentional, but it didn't appear to be. I'm really disappointed in the hideous denim, mostly, because otherwise I would have been completely in love with this jacket."

"like the other reviews said, the sleeves are itchy! I'm 5'5, 110 lbs and usually wear a size small but they only had large left. I decided to order it anyways and i just got it today. the body of the jacket fits great and looks great! got a light colored levis denim jacket. the sleeves are huge and baggy and not in a good way, but i guess i'll deal with that because overall this jacket is adorable! too bad i won't be able to wear this until september/october when the weather's colder haha. if you're debating about whether you should buy this...it's on sale so why not? you can always return it if it's not what you hoped for :)"

"TOTALLY RECOMMEND THIS JACKET. I got mine and it looks pretty similar to the picture, even though you never know what to expect with Urban Renewal. The sleeves are shorter than normal and a tad itchy but I can't help but love it anyways. Mine had a few small holes from wear and tear in the collar, but you know when you order it that you're taking that risk. Great buy (:"

"I'm 5'8", 130 lbs, got the small. It fits me perfectly and I adooore it. Mine is a Levi's jacket (yay!) in a super-light wash that I think is even cuter than the picture. The sleeves are kinda itchy, but that won't keep me away from this lovely jacket :)"

LOVE the look, not so crazy about the fit

"I saw this jacket in the catalog I got in the mail and loved the denim and cream colored sleeves. It was kinda expensive for me so I had to think about it for a little bit. I started reading the reviews and people had mixed feelings so I decided to go to the store to buy it instead of ordering online. I knew urban renewal was unique vintage but i didn't know what kind of twist they would add to this jacket. The one I ended up buying has light denim and knit sleeves with brown, black, and cream colors. It's sooo pretty but it fits too big. I'm 5'7" 150lbs and the sleeves look really puffy and are a little short , like when I reach for something infront of me they're lower than my wrists. And the body is REALLY BIG. That's the biggest flaw. I could live with the short sleeves but the big body makes it look awkward. And the jacket kind of closes at the neck even if you don't botton it, not like the picture, at least for my jacket. The really good things about this jacket is that the demin is really soft and pretty. It's girly and tom boy at the same time. I do recommend wearing a long sleeve or cardigan under bc the sleeves might be itchy.
Overall, this jacket is pretty and one of a kind. It adds a cool look to whatever I'm wearing. It's a little expensive for what you're getting. I love it though."

"This jacket fit very weirdly. The shoulders are extremely broad and the sleeves are way too short. I'm pretty tall and so I'm used to sleeves being short and stuff like that, but the shoulders should not be that broad. (Especially if this is for shorter people, since the arms are shorter)"

Why I'm only giving four stars

"I saw this jacket in the store and loved it. Since it's urban renewal, no two are the same. When I order their products online and choose a specific color/pattern, I get something completely different. It's exciting to be surprised and it's always cute anyway. However the fit of this jacket is sort of awkward. I chose a large even though I would usually wear a medium in shirts. The denim was soft and in a dark wash much like the picture. The sweater sleeves were black and knitted with a design. So cute. But the sleeves come up to my wrists. It's kind of uncomfortable and awkward. But I still love it. But for everyone with long arms, be prepared to order a bigger size."

"each one is definitely VERY unique...i was a little scared to buy mine off of the internet because i didnt know what i would get, so i bought mine at the store...the denim parts vary in color and brand as well as the sweater portions...the one i bought looks amazing! its a small/medium but the sleeves are HUGE which sadly drove me into buyers remorse..im gonna go ahead and return mines but i would definitely recommend buying at the store"

"i could not be more satisfied with my jacket! i just got it in the mail and was so excited to see what it would look like as i opened the package. I was not dissapointed:) Mine is a super light denim wash, with thick cream colored fishermen sleeves. So freeking cute! Exactly what i was hoping for. I put it on and was amazed by the fit and the comfort. I ordered a size small. The whole time i was waiting for this jacket on backorder, I kept thinking the small would be too small and thought i would get a dingy dark colored jacket. Did not think i had a chance of getting a light wash denim. I read reviews about the Urban Renewal Lace Denim jacket which were not all that positive. I got just what i wanted in this jacket and could not be happier. Im wearing my jacket right now with red pants similar to the ones on the model in the photo. looks so great! the small size has a wonderful oversized boyfriend feel to it, and it looks awesome on my thin frame. Im wearing this jacket on a trip to Atlanta tommorow, and im sure it will keep me warm. Buy this jacket! Also the denim is amazingly soft!"
