"i was really worried about this jacket for two main reasons. 1) i read all the reviews about the fabric being much darker of a wash and the lace being completely different and 2) i am of a petite frame of barely 5 feet and 100 lbs so i worried that the small would still be too oversized to pull off. both of these reasons were wrong! the jacket looks virtually the same as the picture and it is oversized on me but in my opinion its just right. you have to work with it too, wear a sweater underneath it on cold days and roll up the sleeves. personally i like oversized shirts and jackets because they make me look even smaller which i quite like."

"I have had this jacket in my shopping cart for over a year. One day, I decided to just bite the bullet and finally buy it. I could not be happier that I did!!!! I was nervous because Urban Renewal can be tricky, but mine came exactly as pictured. My only gripe is that it does run pretty large, not just oversized, but BIG. But I think it's still a great jacket. I am always getting compliments on it!"

"I purchased this jacket awhile back and have to say it's perfect. After reading the mixed reviews, I was hesitant to buy, but I figured I could always send it back if I wasn't in love. It seems that most people seem to have forgotten that when ordering a Urban Renewal item, each and every single garment will vary. In this case, the washes and the lace seem to be throwing people off.
My jacket, as pictured, came with a different floral lace inset than the products photo, but I actually like the lace used on my jacket better. The wash was also a bit darker, too. In terms of price, it was cheaper than a regular Levi's jacket, which will run you about $78. (And the jacket I received was a Levi's jacket.)
As for the fit, I'm 5'10", about 128 lbs and I ended up getting a size M/L. It's a little wide (as I'm sure it was a men's jacket) but the length is perfect. I rolled the sleeves up to about three inches below my elbow and it helped it to appear a bit more fitted.
Also, another nice thing about this jacket is the denim panel removed from the back was tucked in the front pocket, thus making it possible to use as a template to change/replace the lace. ( I don't know if this is the case with everyone else's jacket, but still worth a mention.)
The jacket pairs well with everything from printed jeans and band tee's to dresses.

"I was so excited about this jacket, but equally disappointed. The jacket is nothing like the picture. First off all, the jacket is in more off a dark blue colour, making it look real ugly. I was expecting a more acidwash colour, like the picture and the reviews said it was. Also, I received a Lee Jacket, not a Levis jacket as expected. The lace is nice, but that does not help when the colour is awful and the lable is wrong. I bough the jacket in a m/l, seeing I am a S/M but wanted it a bit oversized. It turn out way too big. I would send it back, but since I orderd it from Norway, the cost is not worth it. I will try to bleach it or something so it wont be a total waist of money... I really dont recommend this jacket at all."

"I got mine in the mail this morning and I love it! I usually wear a size 12 for tops & jackets, so I ordered a size M/L for the jacket. Felt it was a little short in height but it definitely fits well and the denim is of fairly good quality and it's very comfy! I was afraid the lace would have been ripped by the time I had received it but it wasn't, although it is really delicate, so handle with care! The colour was as shown in the picture, maybe a little lighter and looks like it could definitely fade with a little wear :s But overall I think the jacket is worth! Definitely happy with my purchase! 7/10"

"i received 2 of these jackets one is acid wash the other is dark and ugly but they look nothing like the picture and this is a levis jacket but i swear they take any jean jacket and put the lace on it im going to keep acid wash one it looks really nice but its a big risk to take when ordering this jacket"

"I love love love this jacket! Its the perfect wash, light but not acidy. Comfy, and you can tell its really good quality. The lace is perfect and adds a feminine touch. I'm 5'5 , average size... and I got M/L .. it fits exactly how I wanted it to... big enough that its oversized, but not too bad that it looks like I'm wearing my overweight ex-boyfriend's jacket. I was a little sketched because of mixed reviews, but I'm so happy I got it. Totally wicked!!"

"I'm 5'2 106lbs size small
When i first got this denim jacket they only had the M/L, so i went with it anyways. I like having my jackets a little baggy, so i was perfectly fine with the M/L. If you personally like more of a fitted style, then go with the S/M. But trust me, you will never go wrong with this jacket, it's just too beautiful.
I've decided to stud the front to give it a pop pop. SO go crazy! And do your own DIY'S with this jacket!"

"Fell in love with this jacket as soon as I saw it. But after reading the reviews, purchasing it was questionable. Some people said the lace was mesh, some that the denim was extremely dark, and that it ran big. But I bought it anyway knowing I could return it for full price.
And let me tell you, I am EXTREMELY happy with my purchase. It looks exactly like the picture. It's a light-washed denim, and the laced back is exactly like pictured. I have never been happier."

"Although all the reviews said poor to mediocre things for the most-part, I went ahead and bought this jacket. The description states that it is oversized and that it is, but it is perfect. It is so lovely and I know it will become a staple in my spring wardrobe. Mine is the lighter coloured jacket with the white lace and it has a few holes in it, but is vintage-y and cool. The sleeves are big but perfect role up and the pockets are a perfect cut. I love this jacket. Ughh"

So cute, but way too big

"I wanted this jacket SO bad after seeing it online, so when I received it for my birthday, I was more than happy. But once I tried it on, I found that the cut was way more masculine than I expected it to be. I'm 5 feet, about 130 pounds and I got the S/M. I unfortunately had to return it. I just couldn't work with it. It made me look shorter than I am. Plus, the lace cut-out had a rip in it. I understand that it's urban renewal and it won't always be perfect, but the lace was my favorite part so I was a bit disappointed.
I would only recommend this for people who like really, really over-sized jackets though. Maybe you can make it work."

"This got backordered two months for me! I saw it online and loved it but when I got it today it was waaay too huge, there was a hole in the sleeve(I know usually it'd be stylish but this hole was totally misplaced), and the color was totally different from the picture. I will say that the lace was really pretty! But the way they cut out the panel was a little choppy. I'm going to try and exchange and see if I can get one closer to what I expected. I got the s/m."

"Just received mine in the mail today. I'm 5'5 and 140lbs and got a small/medium and it fits perfectly. The color is exactly like the one in the picture and the lace is so pretty!! Gonna wear this so often LDFKJDSLIF. SO SATISFIED. But I wish they had a medium/large when I ordered so it could be a little more oversized :( Also it's kinda short to my liking, but that's okay!!"

"I saw it online, fell in love with it! The white lace with the light denim looked like the perfect combination. When I got it, it was completely different. I know it's supposed to fit big, but in the picture it looks longer than wider. Really it fits the complete opposite. It's short and wide. The denim was really dark, the lace was not even lace.. it looked more like cheap fabric and the jacket had random rust stains all over which I did not like AT ALL. Returnedddddd."

"so i went out on a limb and ordered this jean jacket despite the reviews, and i'm glad i did. i definitely was hoping to get that light jean colour like how it is in the picture, but somehow i knew i would get something different. mine is more of a regular denim colour, and i'm okay with that. i like my lace design though and the fit is expected .. oversized. which is how i wanted it to be. overall, i'm happy. "This jacket does run a little large but that is the style of it.. I'm probably going to have to get used to the bigness of it, however i love the lace I think it's super cute and it gives it a sort of soft edge.. The color is darker than the picture, I wish it was the same color but it still looks good. I've never worn a denim jacket so I hope it grows on me.. I am satisfied with it."
