Awesome Lamp

"I got this in the gold color (not the bright yellow) and it fits perfectly in the living room. I love it! It was incredibly easy to assemble, no tools needed. You turn it on with a button on the ground, pretty straight forward, all you need to buy is a bulb!"

"I love this lamp even more once I got it than I did online. The gold color is perfect, looks vintage! It's really sturdy. Better quality than I expected.
However, the packaging is a nightmare! It is encased in styrofoam that breaks apart into a million little styrofoam balls once you start unwrapping it. I would recommend opening it on top of a sheet or something. The easiest way I found to clean up the million tiny balls was to use a swiffer. Good luck!
Other than that, this lamp is a must have!"

Super cute, but there are a few issues

"I bought the brass version of this lamp, loved the old vintage apothecary store style of it, and the picture online is accurate for the appearance of the light.
Pros - it looks great!! It's also heavier and sturdier than you would expect, and it's easy to assemble, with no tools needed.
Cons - it's shorter than expected, would be great if it was a little taller. The range of motion in the head isn't great. The packaging was terrible, was really hard to get into and made a huge mess! Also, the base on mine is scratched and stained, contemplated exchanging it but would be too much of a hassle to send it back and wait for another, wasn't too bad just a little annoying when purchasing something new and it already looks used.
All in all I am happy with this lamp. Was planning on putting a low wattage bulb in and using it to cast a soft light over the room, but the height and angles make that impractical, so instead I'm using it by the sofa as a task light/reading light."

"A lovely looking lamp. Beautiful brass color, easy to assemble and sturdy! I've knocked it around a bit and it's still looking brand new. There are some things I found to be a bit disappointing. First, the height. It's a bit short. It's only 5 ft tall. Second, the lamp head doesn't have a great range of movement. This limits the light it puts out to a pretty concentrated area. It's not bad for a task lamp over a couch, chair or table but, it won't illuminate a room. Depending on your needs this could be a great lamp. I was able to use it but, not for the purpose I purchased it for."

"great task lamp - i use it by my couch when I read. I use it only when I need specific light in one area, otherwise I use a regular table lamp to light up the room. Great decoration piece - a little shorter than I would like but it looks good!"

"So excited to get this lamp for my private reading area in my bedroom. Beautiful in brass with a nice weight to it. Only complaint: packaging...Hard to open and the syrofoam packaging made a huge mess that will have me picking up pea sized pieces for days, I am sure. Every time I touched it the styrofoam just disintegrated further. Not very green UO!"

"The quality of this lamp is great, it was easy to assemble and the brass color is just gorgeous. However, there is a warning label printed inside the "shade" of the lamp. If you want to tilt the shade up, a big block of red lettering is visible from across the room. It would have been much nicer to have a removable warning label."

"Much more solid and a larger scale than I expected. Not flimsy or easy to tip, which is great. But the aqua color is more green than I expected. I would've liked it to be a little less green and more blue. But otherwise great."

Just the Floor Lamp I Was Looking For!

"What a treasure -- a reasonaly-priced, unusually designed and very appealing floor lamp. And although all the colors are lovely, the brass seemed very classy for my living room.
Another lovely surprice was the sturdy brass pole firmly attached to the properly weighted, circular base. No tottering at all--very evenly weighted
The arm of the lamp curves gracefully, with a lovely design that ends in a bellshaped "hood" covering the bulb.
A nice extra is a buttom on the ground wire that you can step on to open or shut! the light!
The lamp has an elegance and classs that would look lovely in any home. And their other brighter colored lamps would look great in everything from patios to dens to chilrens rooms! They're very portable from room to room.
My one and only complaint--was this was not a box for a slim, not-overly-husky lady to open!! And that styrofoam packing just crumbled right thru my hands and floated those beads righ upt into the AIR--as I tried desperately to get the pieces out in blocks. Could I suggest a different type styrofoam thaqt doesn't crumble like this? The friend downstairs who came up to help me was in convulsions over the flying white 'snow machine'! LOL!!
Aside from that I LOVE THE LAMP!!"

"This lamp is awesome!! Super unique with a slight retro/vintage feel.
I have the yellow and it makes me smile every time I see it! Don't be afraid to go with a bold color, it really adds personality to a room without being overpowering. I also love the lamp's easy assemblage and fairly heavy base. It's very sturdy, though it looks delicate.
You won't regret purchasing this!"

Paint sparse in some places, but overall great

"When this lamp arrived, I was so excited to set it up. It took less than 5 minutes and looks great. The only complaints are that the paint job (I ordered the yellow) is sparse in some places, as if they turned the sprayer off too soon. The effect of this lamp is the bold, solid color, so some of that is lost. Also, as others have mentioned, the on/off switch is on the floor cord, limiting where you can place this. The quality of the lamp however seems very sound."

"I ordered this lamp and UO sent me a table instead. A TABLE!!! So, I had the joyous task of repacking and shipping a friggin' table back to their warehouse and to wait an extra week and a half to receive my actual order. They wouldn't even refund my shipping or offer a discount, which was mega lame considering it was their mistake. All in all it's a great lamp, but I was really disappointed with their customer service."

"This lamp is sturdy and quite cute for the price. Very little assembly is required, just screw it all together in 2 minutes and you're ready to go. I only gave it 4 stars because I don't like the ball near the top of the lamp pole."

"Like the other reviews say, it's a really sturdy lamp, the base is really heavy and all the pieces screw together securely and it doesn't wobble or lean (who doesn't love that?) but when it came it was darker than pictured. I got the turquoise, what I have is more teal. It's not a problem, but the color doesn't lighten up my room as much as I'd thought it would, although I'm sure my lighting contributes to that.
My advice:Get it, but if you have a darker colored room, or not that much natural light, it's going to look darker.
--Overall, I'm pleased."
