Dirty and Cheap

"I just ordered this rug last week and I was more than thrilled to have it arrive this afternoon. After opening it and laying it out, not only was the smell horrific but among other random unidentified stains on it, there were clearly fecal stains.The quality is that of a blanket, definitely not an area rug. I am beyond disgusted with this product! I will never order from Urban Outfitters again, and I will be returning this promptly. All I can say is, do not buy this!!!!"

Low functionality

"The rug is thin and floppy. Good luck if you have wood floors, it never stays where I put it, and is constantly sliding around. Even with a rug pad underneath, it is like I am putting a blanket on the floor and expecting it to stay put. Maybe if used in an area that isn't really lived in it could work. I put it in my bedroom, and multiple times a week I have to readjust it. Today I give up and I'm getting rid of this piece of junk."

Nice, but not what I ordered.

"It is what it is (mostly)-- a decently priced cotton rug. My main problem is that I ordered the blue, expecting it to look like the picture, and the rug I got is definitely darker, and more green than blue. It still works for my living room so I'm keeping it, but I would have much preferred it to look like what I expected."

"This rug (in pale grey) is the perfect modern accent to my baby girl's vintage / shabby chic nursery! I love the muted / weathered look as well. My only complaint is the odor of the rug... it's got a very strong chemical-like smell when you first take it out of the package. After a week though, it's not as bad. Hoping it airs out quickly! Other than that, nothing but LOVE!!!"

"I don't understand if the manufacturer of this rug changed or what? I have seen it pictured in nursery projects online- clearly an aqua color as pictured on Urban. However- what came, as some of the other posters noted is GREEN. MINT GREEN and not at all what I am looking for. I am extremely disappointed."

"I really wanted a rug to dress up my cubicle. The 3 x 5 one is perfect. My chair slides without the rug moving. It is thin and more of a mat than a rug, but that is what I needed. Good purchase."

"The rug is beautiful, the yellow color really stands out and blends with the off white portion of the rug. My living room is small and this rug helped to make the space seem bigger. Excellent purchase & it came faster than expected!"

Cute, But...

"I bought this for our newborn's nursery. First time we ordered "blue", and I had to take back bc it was more of a green hue. We then ordered grey which worked great except the smell of the rug was soo overwhelming. For the price, I figured I would try to wash it to get the smell out and risk ruining the rug. I had to wash it 3 times to get the smell out, and the fabric did fine in the washer/dryer...probably a little more "distressed" but I don't care as long as that smell is gone. For the price, I would recommend."

Really...the color is wrong

"Okay, I will admit that I read reviews and thought, "I want it to be more teal than light blue." I bought this rug for my daughters room, which is navy, teal/turquoise, and coral. This rug is GREEN, not teal, not light blue, GREEN. You could categorize it as a mint green, but it is definitely green. I am returning it (but you have to pay for return postage which is NOT cheap) and getting the gray one for her room instead. I really wish this was the true color in the picture. Urban Outfitters needs to update their pictures of something to make them more accurate.
That being said, I do like the actual rug, thus buying the other color, but this color is completely wrong."

Beautiful for a DAy

"This rug was great when I first got it, but after a few weeks (even days) it's an eyesore. So difficult to clean, even sweep. Everything gets trapped on it. I haven't tried machine washing it for fear it will bleed or shrink drastically, but that's the only way I could think of saving it now."

"I really wanted to like this rug. I bought it to put a fun pop of color in my dining room. It is SO THIN. I'm constantly trying to put it back in place, the tiniest movement bunches it up. Plus, there's splotches of blue dye in the off-white areas. Just sloppily made."

"Arrived quickly as usual from UO. Nothing that I didn't expect based on reviews and I feel the color is pretty spot on. Really enjoy the design and subtle flair/pop it adds to my bedroom. Seems to work well over carpet. We have dogs, so I'm worried about how the rug will hold up if I need to spot clean based on other reviews but we'll see. I like it! One over the better priced options I was able to find online as well."

"This is hands down the worst rug I have ever purchased. It looks great, the design is awesome. However, it is impossible to clean. It needs to be vacuumed everyday and when I have tried to spot clean it, the dye smears. If you put this in a room that is used on a daily basis, it will get ruined in a short period of time. Don't waste your money."

"I bought 3 of these rugs for my bedroom. We had moved to a mid-century ranch and I wanted something a little more modern. I bought the khaki color. It is not a sharp zig zag but and the white is not a true white as other reviewers have noted, however, I do like the rugs a lot. We live with a cat so the occasional mess is inevitable. I prefer to wash my rugs when I can. I know they will shrink, but that is okay with me.
It is a nice flat weave. I could use a rug pad on them but it doesn't seem necessary so far. It warms my feet a little when I get up on the cold midwestern mornings."

"I bought the grey and white 5x7 for my son's nursery. The white is not a true white, it's much darker. I was disappointed by this at first, as it looked sort of dirty. However, it's grown on me in time. The texture is not soft and it did come with a strong odor, but it aired out fine. I keep the rug on carpet, and it doesn't stay in place very well. However, it serves the purpose that I need it for, to look cute! This is definitely a fantastic price for this size of rug. It's nothing fancy, though."

"I did not review right away- it looked nice and fit our living room perfectly but I knew I was going to have issues.
First: it is thin and I hate how it never stays straight for long- anytime you walk on it, there are creases.
Second: vacuuming it sucks.
Third: it started snagging.
This rug would be great if it was in a place you never used. But if you basically walk, eat, vacuum, or use and LIVE in the room that it is in- then reconsider."

"The rug would have been perfect, but it is more of a light green than light blue. If it matched our room I would keep it, but the color is not what we were looking for. The listing really should be changed to reflect more of a light green or even teal color to make it more accurate because it is definitely not light blue. The look is great if you are looking for a teal or light green rug!"

"I got the grey/white but its more grey/beige which I was pretty disappointed with but it grew on me and now I like it. Its impossible to vacuum and you'll slip and break a leg if its on hardwood floors so a you'll need a rug grip underneath it. I got a super cheap one at Walmart. Mine didnt really have a smell like others said however it has an AMAZING ability to repel stains. Overall its a pretty good rug, especially if you see what other places are selling these types of rugs for."

Seafoam and Dark Cream / Khaki

"I bought this rug for a nursery to add a bit of color to the floor. The rest of the decor is grey and white. I thought this would be white (or a little off-white) and blue/green. It isn't. I should have listened to the other reviewers--it is seafoam GREEN and a dark cream/khaki color--not at all white or off-white. It also does have a very strong odor, like hemp, when you unwrap it. I would imagine this would air out if you let it, but mine is going back to the store. Other than the fact that it isn't white, it's very nice. Just not what I need."
