size down and they're perfect
(June 29, 2012)
"yes, all of the previous reviews were right about the super loose waist - but I just bought a size smaller than normal and they fit perfect! Actually still just a little bit loose, but in a good way - not a too-big way. love these! I bought them two weeks ago and have worn them more than half of the time since then... so comfortable, the tan color matches EVERYTHING, I wish there were still more colors available because I would buy every one!"

Great deal on Levi's shorts!
(June 21, 2012)
"Even at the sale price of 24.99, I'd recommend these shorts. I too got them when they dropped down for $4.99. Glad I got 5 pairs!
For sizing, I am 5' 8" 145 and got a size 28. I am evenly proportioned, slim but curvy/not straight. 32C-28-38. I do normally wear a 4 which would be a size 27, but I wanted them to fit like how they do on the model and ordered up to size 28. They don't fit me like on the model, more like a fitted short yet I am still very happy with them. Good thing I ordered up a size!
I would especially recommend these for shoppers with skinny legs. I do not have skinny legs or big legs, but they still fit great and are extremely comfortable. The teal is prettier in real life than on the model.
*So, order one size up for a fitted pair and two sizes up for a loose fitting pair.
**I did also find the waist a little loose in comparison to the leg opening, but that changed after the first wash. Very good fit, durable short. I think it's important to actually use a product before reviewing it."
Way too baggy in waist, like previous reviewers sd
(June 18, 2012)
"I bought a 25, I'm 5'1" and weigh 108 pounds. The waist line is huge, and baggy. I bought these for $4.99 and they shot back up to $24.99. I would defninitely not recommend these, I'm only keeping them because they were $5 and I can wear them outside to get dirty, and not wear out."

"Over priced pair of jeans with a terrible fit ... go for a pair of BDG shorts instead."

Fun and casual
(April 28, 2012)
"I was really excited to receive these - a crisp white pair of shorts will really pump life into my summer wardrobe. I'm a little disappointed with the fit...they're snug in the thigh (which is fine, because the material will stretch out) and wayyyyy too big in the waist. I bought a size 29 and I usually wear a 28 (I wanted a more casual fit). I'm 5'4'', 140lbs and curvy. I've worn them twice so far (but I had to wear them hanging off my hips) and I'm happy with the purchase. I definitely plan on getting them altered, so I bet I'll like them a lot more after that."
the waist is kind of huge (i got the smallest size) so i need to get a belt to go with these.
i'd think twice before ordering though, especially if you're petite and are planning on getting the size 25. you're paying $60 for a pair of jeans that are too big on the waist + ~$20 for a belt that you will need. they're levi's 501 - with a little luck you'll be able to find them at a second hand store and end up spending $5. just saying :-)"

Great shorts!
(March 3, 2012)
"I just got these shorts and I'm already in love. I don't understand what other people are talking about saying their too big because they fit me perfectly and I got my normal size. They look great with cropped tops or wearing tights under them! I can't wait until it's warm enough to wear them out more often."

yes!
(February 18, 2012)
"okay, so i'm obsessed with these shorts (i ended up getting a second pair).
they're definitely not your tight, hoochie pair of booty shorts. they're frumpy and dorky, but pair it with a cropped top, or bikini top, tie your hair back in a high ponytail and it's quite possibly the cutest summer outfit. if you can pull it off, then you'll love these shorts.
plus, they're super comfortable."

weird fit
(November 12, 2011)
"the waist to thigh ratio simply does not make sense. I am 5'1 110 and ordered my usual size 26. I was thrilled when they arrived/ saw how they were and even more thrilled when I first started to pull them on...then I went to button them. the wait is HUGE. These shorts are made well/ so cute, but the cut is a disaster so to put it simply just stay far away."
"The shorts themselves are cute in every way, but the waist is just too loose. If you intend on getting these shorts, I'd recommend getting a belt to go with it. I'm 5'3" and 100 lbs., and I ordered a size 25."
"I LOVE these shorts-- they're so classic. I picked the dark blue color--but all are nice. These run larger than my usual picks (BDGs). I'm 95 ponds 5 ft. 2 inches--a size 26 fits a little loose just as I like them."
