"i'm quite slim and definitely recommend geting a size small if you're usually a medium in terms of chest size...but i'm 6'3 and found the small a little to short."

The Fit is good but...
(February 14, 2013)
"I really like the way Mcgill Hawkins fits to my body for both the straight leg chinos and Oxford shirts. With that said, I am a little concern with the quality of the shirt. I wore the shirt maybe 5 or so times and the strings begin to pull from the shirt."

I have it in every color
(December 11, 2012)
"It fits great when you size down. I often get compliments and asked if it's a Taylor Stitch (or some other $200 a shirt brand). I'm 5'10" 145 lbs and I wear the XS. Highly recommend if the fit is right on you."

love it
(November 4, 2012)
"I usually wear med or large. Due to other reviews suggesting getting a size smaller, I went with a medium. Fits perfectly, although sometimes I prefer to buy a slightly larger shirt to allow for shrinkage.
Anyways, great shirt."

Best Button up I have ever bought
(October 9, 2012)
"I'm 6'3 195lbs and a larger muscular build. A large fits like a glove. Definitely get a size down or it wont be the fit you want. Ill be buying the rest of the colors.."

Massive
(September 26, 2012)
"At 5'11 and around 165ish, I would consider myself a medium sized person. Regardless, I ordered a small in this shirt and it fit like a potato sack. Ridiculous vanity sizing, yet they somehow found a way to make it a little tight on my neck. Gets 2 stars for decent construction."

Super good quality & super comfortable!
(September 25, 2012)
"Usually at the end of the day of wearing a shirt like this my shoulders/back feel a bit stiff, but not with this one! The quality seems really good and it fits/looks really good! I love how it's so simple but goes good with so many outfits. You gotta get one of these shirts!"

Possibly my best button down, ever.
(September 22, 2012)
"Perfect. I have more expensive shirts from more prestigious marques, and at $49 the Hawkings McGill Oxford is by far my all around best buy. They do run just a touch loose, but in my opinion, a classic oxford should- and not look as if it's trying too hard. Works as well with seersucker shorts and Sperrys as it does with wool trousers and brogues. I'm back today to buy several more colors to augment my sole blue one. Highly recommend."

Review 11 for Hawkings McGill Pinpoint Oxford Shirt
"As all the other reviews will tell you, this shirt is exactly one size too big. However, this is only in the case that you want a snug fit. With the summer upon us getting this shirt in your regular size will allow it to breath, but if you get this shirt in a size down it really won't. The thick material of the shirt makes it warm, but it all comes down to how tight you want it to be.
Either way this is a fantastic shirt. The colors are perfectly off and unique, amazing for casual events, but also a tad touch of professionalism. In essence, this shirt is a staple in everyones closet."

great shirt!
(April 17, 2012)
"Overall this shirt is great! It's good quality, and is not thin like some of the other brands UO carries. It's a staple shirt that is comfortable, cozy, and breathes well while you're wearing it. I must admit that it is a touch larger than I like, but it's not big enough to warrant going down a size. But, if you are really looking for a tight fit, then you definitely want to try going down a size. I'm 6'0, 165, and the medium in blue fits pretty well, looks great, and the arm length is definitely long enough!
I should note that the peach (light orange) color is a little paler in person than on the website. I tried it on in the store and it completely washed me out, so if you're a little pale (like me) or lightly tan, I'd suggest going for another color."

Can't live without 'em
(March 8, 2012)
"Great shirt, great cotton quality, great cut. I'm considering buying one of each color. I'm a large man with a stronger build (6'2'' 250 lbs) and the XL look fitted on me so I'm guessing the smaller guys might need to get them taken in if they want the fitted look."

Perfect
(February 23, 2012)
"I bought one of these in the fall to see how I liked it and immediately bought four more. The fit is perfect, the colors are great, and the quality is way better than I expected. I wear these shirts every day. Sleeves rolled up to school or around the house, then roll them down and wear with a blazer or even a full suit for more formal occasions. Definitely recommend this shirt."

Staple product
(February 14, 2012)
"Urban could probably only sell this shirt at their stores and make the equal amount or even more profit than now. I feel as if this shirt gets overlooked for not having that wow factor, but this shirt falls nothing short of amazing. It fits a bit loosely on the torso area, but buying a size lower fixes the problem easily. It's not too thick, so it's the perfect shirt for a nice spring day or a perfect shirt to wear under a cardigan or jacket during those cold winter evenings. Truly Urban's greatest product."

I should have listened...
(February 13, 2012)
"I bought this shirt in my regular size, despite others saying that it runs large. It is a wonderful shirt, except it is quite baggy on my arms, but I'll probably just roll the sleeves up anyway. Buy it, but size up!"

Great Shirt! But gigantic.
(February 3, 2012)
"This is a great shirt, but it's just made for people who are 6'1+, It's really long and also roomy. I'm normally a Small. I'm 5'7 120lbs and an X-small was too big for me!"

Little big, lotta good.
(January 17, 2012)
"Yes, true, this runs a tad large. I think it is safe you say, "You ought-a buy a size smaller." I got the small, and it does fit, but is a tad loose, which doesn't bother me, because it is so great! Good, sturdy material. Several washings later, it has retained its color well. I got the yellow, which looks exactly like the photo, and still does. It's classy; can be dressed up. Or not. It's great."
