"I also thought this was going to be a lot bigger than it actually is. It is very heavy and it is well made, i do really like it but i wish it was a lot bigger so it could be more of a feature statement rather than just an oversized hook."

Rustic COOL deer head hook
(September 10, 2011)
"I bought mine in the store a few weeks ago. I couldn't resist...even though I don't like that moosehead decor trend, this one had a purpose...hooks
I just mounted it this am, It is a solid little piece. I happened to have some rustic colored screws on hand (The deerhook did not come with screws). I used a power drill and may have hit a stud, by chance. It seems sturdy.
It is holding bike helmets. So far so good. (And I love the design / rustic colour / weight of product)"

HEAVY but kinda small...
(September 28, 2010)
Pros: nice details, nice aged look
Cons: seriously heavy, not as big as one might think
"This is some serious hardware... it is really heavy, I'm guessing you would need very durable screws to put them up and make sure you really get it in the studs. I think it might be heavier than a gallon milk jug!
Having said that, the size of this hook leaves something to be desired... I somehow had pictured this to be much bigger than it was. In reality, it is about the size of a human face, including the horns... meaning the head part of the deer is really like half a human face... that diminished the cool factor IMO...
I haven't made up my mind but I am considering returning this product. the impact of this hook is not as great as I thought it would be, and the only thing massive was it's weight."
