Let me just clear some things up

"The threads are definitely not white, the initial powder problem might make them seem that way. You can probably get in there with a toothbrush and some water if your desperate (the powder is really not that big of a deal) The boots are definitely not "grey" I don't know the last time you saw "grey" but these boots are black (they might be a little shiny) I wear a US 9 and they fit perfectly. (I have a lot of low top Vans in US 9). I'm in Australia so $40 shipping and shoes usually don't mix. But everyone's reviews helped out with that. They are not that bulky, but bulky enough to be baddass. And have no fear, the toe does not look as huge in person. You're not getting clown shoes. They will seem tight at first but as an experienced shoe buyer/wearer, THEY NEED TO BE WORN IN. Give it a couple of days. They do seem a little cheaply constructed and with my track record, I don't expect them to last forever. Hopefully I'm proven wrong because they are pretty sick, and for 80 bucks, I'm not complaining. But I've only had them for 2 days so what do I know.
Also note: if your an arch support wearer the innersole might need to be pulled out but it comes out easy. WEAR THEM IN"

"ABSOLUTELY love them!
I bought them 1/2 a size larger, tried them on, walked around and they fit nicely.
Got tons of compliments on them, and I wear them every other day. Highly recommended, if one is searching for a casual boot to wear around."

"These boots are very nice. I own 5 pairs of boots and these are very comfortable compared to the others I own. I was a little confused when buying these because most boots run big. I wear a size 9 in all my other boots but all the reviews said they run true to size so I bought a size ten. They fit perfectly. The shoes are just like any other boot. Takes about 2-4 days to break in but after that they're really comfortable. The other reviews are lame because they say they are really uncomfortable. Well they are freaking boots so they will be uncomfortable at first. That goes for any boot. buy these. They are not big or bulky. They go perfectly with skin tight skinny jeans or looser fitting jeans. and they look freaking sweet with the laces loose and pants tucked in. Don't hesitate to buy these. They are awesome! Oh and that coating everyone is talking about comes off with a rag. or you can just wear them for a week and it comes off."

"So these would be perfect boots but for two tragic design flaws. First, the white powder dusted all over these boots can mostly be wiped off but its caked on in the stitching and the folded areas around the tongue and can't be totally removed. Second, they're a teeny bit more narrow-fitting than I like. I should have sized up by 1/2, my fault. Otherwise these are light-weight, stylish, and functional boots that look unique enough to draw envious stares."

"I've been hesitating a lot on whether I should buy those boots or not because of other reviews which most of them had always something bad to say about those boots but when I went to my local UO store to try them on... I felt in love with it. They only had one pair left, my size! They were a perfect fit! They are now my lucky boots. lol They're awesome, the fit is good, the color is wonderful, it did have some sort of white powder on it but it looks really good on it, the sole are still fine... I mean those shoes are just that good. There's nothing wrong with them at all. LOVE EM!"

Great Boot - Falls A Little Short

"Don't get me wrong...
I love the style of the long tongue, pant leg fits perfectly over it.
The boots are easy on and off. Fit VERY comfortable and quick to 'break in'.
One draw back is the sole. Only a week of regular wear, mine started to peal off in the toe and in the heal. I am still on the hunt for some 'Shoe Goo' to glue the sole back on.
Otherwise - love the boot."

"This boot goes withe EVERYTHING. It's like a dark grey or anthracite color. It looks amazing kind of just a open on the top. Not laced up the way. I saw these boots last year and didn't buy them. I saw them again this year while I was on break and did not want to lose the opportunity again but they were out of my sizes in both stores in Vegas so the guy suggested I looked online and I did. Luckily they had a pretty full size run online. Anyway this is definitely one of my staple pieces for Fall."

"I was a little apprehensive after reading all the bad reviews but these boots turned out to be a nice purchase.
The "chalk" that the boots are coated in comes off with a wet rag, easy fix to a poorly made vintage effect.
They are comfortable which is a surprise since I have trouble with most shoes.
Looks great as casual or dress."
