"They're super stiff upon opening and it is hard to tell how they're going to fit in such a state so I am currently on the fence as to whether or not they should be returned. I imagine them becoming a lot more baggy with wear. (And they're already somewhat big as others have notated)
The color is also off (but with Urban when isn't it?) It is a darker shade but the dyes also seem like they will fade with wash so that isn't too problematic.
For reference, I am 5'9 145-150ish lbs And generally a size 27-28. I actually bought a 28 but would have preferred the 27. Ten dollars for levis though? Can't really beat that."

"I've been wanting a pair of dark jean shorts, and for the sale price I couldn't pass these up! Yes, they're stiff, but I'm assuming that with wash and wear they'll break in like most other jeans. I think they run big - I'm 5'8, 145 pounds and I got a 28. They fit really nicely on my butt and thighs, fitted but not tight, but there's about an inch or two of room to spare at the waist. For $10 though, I'm not complaining. Good purchase."

"I read the other reviews and ordered the size down from what I usually am, and they fit great. They're not high waisted and are a little lighter than in the photo but I love them and can't wait to wear them once this awful weather stops!"

"Got it on sale at my local UO store. I'm a size 29 but somehow fit in a 27 o_O A bit on the short side, and it was a little uneven (one side of the short was higher on one leg.)
It was short, so I'd definitely wear tights with these. Not sure if it's because I got a smaller size or anything. Makes my butt look smaller, so that's a plus.
Good find, good deal. Try finding it at your store!"

"I bought a 25W. Granted, I am only 5'1 and 79 pounds, but I was so excited I thought that I would try for it anyways. I should have read the reviews first instead of buying them because they were so cheap. They were huge. I ordinarily wear 00 jeans, and these fit me like a pair of size 2s. Careful on the size you order, they're cute, but the sizing is terrible."

"I could have bought the size 28 but i bought the 29. I normally don't buy anything online because I don't like not knowing if it will fit, but I've been buying a lot of shorts lately to wear over tights and these are just awesome. I love the color and the quality of the denim. I'd probably wear them with a belt to posh them up a bit but otherwise just a great pair of shorts and I'm happy."

"These shorts looked adorable online, AND they were on sale for such a good price! I got them in size 25 (my usual size) but they were HUGE! They gap in the back and the right leg rides up a bit, though I don't know if that happens for every pair. I think they'd be cute if they fit better."

"first of all, these are amazing. you def wont regret buying them. at first i thought they fit way too short but with some tights and cute boots, they looked great. Im 5'3" 140lbs and i have big hips so the 31 fit amazing! really, get them!"

"the fabric is super stiff!! i got them on sale, I would not recomend them for any girl bigger than a size 3 on the bottom. They were more medium waisted than high, and so uncomfortable. The waist was too big, but it fit my hips and butt. I tried to wear them in, but it didn't work. They would probably work on someone with really skinny legs and no butt."

"ive worn them once and i already got a zillion compliments on them. i actually got a 26 and a 27, only wore the 26 so far but the size difference makes for a completely different look... i might actually keep both of them.
btw, the wash is a little different than the picture... it's more green/yellow, i was expecting a "purer" blue."

"Jean shorts never ever fit me. EVER. i have been trying to find a pair that works for 2 seasons and the result is usually the same- too big in the waist and WAY to tight in the legs. I am pretty curvy for a small gal (5'3'', 122 lbs, 34B) and I normally wear a 27 in jeans. I ordered a 28 in these shorts because I was worried they would be too tight in the legs (as jean shorts normally are for me). They are pretty big in the waist as the other reviewers have said but on the bright side they arn't too tight in my legs. I think they will still work with a belt. I would have sized down, but I am happy with my purchase. I hope this helps!"

"These shorts are nice and really cute, but they run HUGE! and I mean HUGE! I normally wear a 27-29 and I got a 27 because the other reviews said to size down, but they turned out to be realllllllly big on me. I guess thats what cute belts are for, but my tip is to go at least 1 or 2 sizes down."

"I am a Levi's fan and when i saw these shorts i knew i had to get them. I have a curvy body and the lenght is good not to short but not long either. I am 5'3 and weigh 135 I ordered a size 28. It is a little loose on my waist but a belt will help with that."

"Amazing shorts but wish I went a size smaller. I am about 5'7'', 130lbs and normally a size 27/28 (Small or Medium) but depends on the brand of course. I purchased a 28 just to be safe bc I read the reviews that said the waist was a bit larger than you would think but wanted to be safe vs. ordering the 27s. I am very happy with my purchase but yes the waist is a bit big (and I am a 26"/27" waist measurement) and I may have to get it altered eventually but it is totally workable and adorable color, cut, style. A must have for any season - looks fantastic with my patterned tights and riding boots."
