"I decided to order two pairs of shorts- thinking that at least one pair would have to be a hit. The most disappointing part was the fact that I got sent two pairs of the EXACT SAME shorts. I'm talking same wash, distress in the same spots, heck, they were even the same brand. Luckily for me, I did like them. I was hoping for something a tad more distressed and high waited (they hit the same spot as all my other jeans). I'm sure I'll wear them a lot this summer, but they aren't something to go brag about.."

"First off, let me say that I am a size 3 in jeans. and even the size Small was extreamly loose!!!! They look nothing like the one's here and the back pockets don't even match. LISTEN TO ME WHEN I TELL YOU THAT THEY ARE NOT WORTH IT!"

"I bought these shorts last year and I wear them to death!
I was a bit concerned because of the sizing but after reading nearly 100 reviews I decided on the medium. I'm 5'8", 134lbs, 28" waist, 37" hip. I have an athletic build with athletic thighs and these compliment my shape by elongating my legs with the high waist! LOVE!"

"I should start off by saying that I am SO glad I bought these in the store instead of ordering them online! I have been trying these shorts on every time i went to the store and never really found a pair I loved. I also read a lot of the reviews and knew they wouldn't be exactly what I was looking for unless I bought them in the store. These aren't really the best thing to order online, the sizing is all different and they all look different. Overall, I'm so happy with my shorts, definitely a must have for spring/summer (:"

"So lets start by saying that I LOVE these shorts and I got exactly what I was looking for. Its a little tricky when dealing with Urban Renewal Items because you never know exactly what you are going to get. ( I was sure with my luck that I'd end up with a black pair with pink or red stitching or something) They and are really cute for Spring/Summer, I even decided to throw in a little extra distressing on the back pocket just to make them a little edgy from behind. My only complaint is that when mine were cut the designer cut into my pocket a little so it needs repair. I do think they are worth taking a chance, if it doesn't work out you can always return !"

One of the unlucky ones...

"I ordered these online KNOWING they won't look exactly as pictured since they're from the Urban Renewal line.
I was looking for some denim shorts to wear for the upcoming spring/summer with the following criteria: high waisted (which is what most customers seem to have received based on the photos) and denim that can be worn with almost any top (didn't care if they were a darker or lighter wash than what was pictured as long as they were wearable).
As you can see from my pictures, luck wasn't on my side :(
They FIT perfect but they did not have any high rise.. they just fit below the waist like normal shorts.. and what bugged me the most was the PINK trim.
I'm hoping they have more of these to try on in the store so I can at least exchange them for a better looking pair, if not then I will have to return them."

i ordered them online, considering where i live.
3 weeks later, they arrived, and i actually liked them, i didn't look at the picture online till hours later and i'm impressed.
the destruction they did to them were pretty good, if i just gloss over the fact they ripped one of the butt pockets and there's a slight slit to my underwear, nevertheless i will sow them back.
i got mine in xs [im 42 kgs/92 pounds, 5'3] and they fit just right.
take a chance with these, hopefully luck's on your side and you get the ones you pictured in your mind!"

"After some bad experiences with high-waisted pants from here (I order everything online), these pants I feel WERE MADE FOR ME. They're extremely comfortable and the length is perfect. I'm a size 6 in regular jeans and ordered them in medium, I couldn't be happier with them. The ONLY problem was well, one of the belt holding loops was broken, but I guess that's part of the whole "destroyed" look. Love them, love them, love them!"

Lovely, but sizing is confusing

"I just got these in the mail today and they looked really cute when I got them out of the bag, but really small. I tried them on and could button them all the way, however they were pretty tight. I looked at the size (on the levi tag thing) and they were w31 l34, mens pants, which explains why they were tight in the butt and a bit looser in the waist. I won't be returning them though, because I've been losing weight and they should be wearable when summer comes around. :) I also got these in a size small."

"I got a complete different color than the pic. Mine is a much darker denim and it is a little big at the bottom but i fold mine so it fits but it fits perfectly eveywhere else. Recomend trying them on in the store before buying."

"I went into the UO store to buy these shorts after reading reviews I thought it was best to go into the store and try on before buying. I am sooo glad I did! I have a size 27 waist. On the Urban Renewal shorts it really doesnt say a size. I tried on atleast 10 pairs before I found the perfect ones. I really reccomend going to the store and trying them on before buying!"

"I ordered these in a small and fit perfectly and the front look perfect. I then turned the shorts around to view the back and found there was NO POCKET or LEVI BRAND THINGY, I was still wear them and because I live in Australia and it takes 2 weeks to get my package I'm to lazy to send them back but to people who are thinking of purchasing them go for it just be ware...."

"I ordered these in a medium because I have hips : ) I'm usually a 28-29 but I decided to go up a size per the previous reviews. When I got these, the color of them was ligher than pictured but I didn't care about that. I still liked them. However when I went to pull these up, I had a crisis. Lol I could button them but they were just too snug. I'm going to exchange them in the store tomorrow. Overall I love the style! Definitely will try them on before purchasing again."
