LOVE it but...
Pros: beautiful, timeless
Cons: really delicate can easily break
"I got this necklace over the summer and have been dying to wear it ever since school came in. Today was my first time actually wearing it, and it was absolutely gorgeous. Everyone I passed complimented it. But, this morning I was carrying 2 textbooks and 1 extremely large binder and I guess I adjusted the books wrong, and the monocle's chain had just broke. No one could understand how aggravated I was because it was my first time wearing it and the chain was so delicate, it broke with a small, simple tug. I had my friend fix it during costume design but that's beside the point. Unless, you know how to fix jewelry with your bare hands or pliers, I highly advise you be EXTREMELY careful with this necklace. But above all that, it is a simple, chic necklace with a cute design and it was a great buy."

"I'm glad I finally ordered this necklace!
Yes, it's long and can tangle because of the delicate chain. But, its simple lines and curious quirk make it a fine finishing accessory to a variety of looks. It also seems like something that won't ever really go out of style either, so I plan on wearing season to season."

"LOVE the look of this necklace.
a couple of watch outs:
1. i ordered it online & it came shipped so tangled and knotted that it took me over an hour to untangle it. such a pain! please, urban, try to find a way to ship it more carefully. it was just dumped down into their little muslin bag. it is very long so it likes to get tangled a lot if you are not careful with it.
2. as mentioned above, it is pretty long. i'm 5'7" (with an avg torso length) and it hits a little below my belly button. not sure how this would work for a shorter torso."

"I was so excited when this came in the mail, but quickly realized this cute little necklace is soooo easily knotted up and tangled. That is my only complaint. Other than that I LOVE it and even spent a recent night out showing ppl that the monacle ACTUALLy worked!"

"I got this necklace as a gift and I really love the quirkiness of having a monocle around my neck but over time Ive started to find its length annoying. I am short and have always leaned towards shorter necklaces but this actually caught on my belt buckle once when I was sitting down. I dont wear it much because proportionally it looks weird with a lot of things and Im constantly worried about it snagging on things."

"I ordered this a couple weeks ago. I was looking for a really long necklace that would go with everything. That's exactly what I got. The necklace literally hits my bellybutton. Also, It's so simple that it goes with everything.
The only problems I have with it are that it's almost too simple and it definitely tangles. So far it hasn't been impossible to untangle, but every time I look down I have to spend a couple minutes fixing it.
One thing that I didn't care about, but some people might is that the actual monocle doesn't work. You can see through it, but it's really blurry.
Overall I'm happy I have it because I always need a necklace and it's so simple that it goes with everything."

"This necklace is really a sweet one. The chain is extremely dainty and a pretty soft silver. My only alteration would be to make the chain a little shorter. It is very long and hits me at the belly- not the most flattering spot for a necklace. Otherwise it is really adorable and I am happy with the purchase entirely. The monocle really magnifies things, too."

"It's just that awesome. This necklace matches with everything, and it's also just a really cool concept! The magnifying glass works by the way... my friends and I also enjoyed lighting things on fire with it during the few sunny days in Seattle.

"This necklace is just so awesome. I typically keep the monocle part under my shirt since its very long and I want it to last, but I've gotten many compliements on the first strand with the little charm. As an actual monocle or magnifying glass its nothing great..but who cares. Its cute lol"

"Definitely an interesting piece of jewelry but as everyone has commented, longer than your average longer necklaces, so if you're short, you might want to think about that. I'm under 5 feet and the monocle charm hits me at my belly button.
I've layered a 15" necklace with it and I didn't have tangling problems
Even though it's really long I still think it looks really unique and wearable. It adds a vintage toch to any outfit without drawing too much attention. I have the gold and it stands out best on dark solid clothing, and is hidden on patterns. I'm thinking of getting the silver one too if they don't run out!"

Being just barely 5 feet this necklace is too long for me. Also, I've tried wearing it a few times and it tangles with the smaller chain like crazy (and then you just look silly) :/ Cute idea, but poor execution."

"When I first clicked on this item online, i thought...um...its a dangling magnifying glass. Even though I thought it was unique and cute, I didn't risk buying this, INSTEAD someone else bought it for me. When I saw in my hands, it was really, just something else. The Online picture doesn't do it justice because the background is white.
It was around my birthday and i was feeling really down from self-doubt. The person who got it for me knew i liked UO and he said that reason he got it for me was because he said i needed a magnifying glass to look into myself and discover the beautiful person that i was hiding from my doubts.
Its not just that this necklace was meaningful, it was also beautiful. Whenever i look at it i think of what he said. Everyone needs to see into themselves to realize the beautiiful them, and this necklace is a great reminder of that. Even more so it can bring out the beauty of you and remind you of the beauty of others."
