Nice turntable

"Like others who purchased one of these, I did initially have an issue with a broken needle when I received my first one. Customer Service at UO was extremely helpful and got me out a new one very quickly. I also have a Crosley CR66 Rochester 5 in 1 turntable and wasn't pleased with the sound. This one, is much much better.
• Tone control is a definite plus.
• The full size turntable minimizes wobble.
• Sound is clear. I tested LPs that didn't sound good on the old one and they sound great on this one.
• Slow descent with the tone arm is also a plus (may avoid unnecessary accidental scratching.
• Spin begins and stops with movement/"click" of the tone-arm which makes it easier to remove an album.
• Looks nice.
• I know some reviewers complained about the lid, and it is removable, but I haven't had an issue. I've placed mine in a location where the top can lean against the wall when it is open.
Has the ability to plug in other speakers if you want to improve the sound.

Amazing record player!

"I bought this record player a little less than a year ago, and it's still playing great. It has excellent sound quality, and I love that you can play older records on it as well. I was a little unsure if I wanted to spend the money on it or not, but I was not disappointed. It even looks awesome in any room you choose to put it in. I never get tired of putting on a new record.
*Just make sure you follow the instructions on how to set it up because I thought mine was broken at first, but I realized I was just missing a step in the very quick setting-up process."

"Online this turntable looks great, and out of the box it looked cool; but the quality was just not worth what I paid for. The lid was removable, but almost every time I opened the top it fell of . That didn't bother me so much. we removed the needle head covering and tried to bring the needle down so we could play it. The needle as soon as we touched it came off, then we dropped it into the flokati rug where we will likely never find it."

"I bought it online and when I got it for some reason it wouldn't work. I returned it to an actual Urban Outfitters store and got the exact same one because I wanted to give it another try and it works beautifully. So if you're going to buy this record player, I suggest buying it at a store and make sure all the pieces come with it! The sound quality is really good and it was definitely worth the hassel!"

Worth the struggle

"Originally I bought the tan/green record player from the UO store and it's my own fault for not checking the box to make sure all the pieces were in there so when I got it home of course the needle was missing so can't really do much with it. I returned it to the store (because if the needle was missing I was worried something else would be wrong with it) and I bought the "navy/grey" one, which is really more like a purple-ish grey than navy but I love it anyway! This is probably one of my favorite purchases from Urban Outfitters, the sound is amazing even on the records I buy from thrift stores."

"I'll start by admitting that I'm not an expert when it comes to record players in all honesty this is my first. The sound quality is excellent, the instructions to get started were easy to follow (yes, I read the instructions...I'm cool that way) and it looks pretty darn cool in my apartment. I would recommend getting this to anyone on the fence, I don't think you will regret it. I don't. Money well spent."

"I love the crisp, clean, retro look of this record player. It is one of my biggest electronic purchases and I am so happy with it! Because the speakers are on opposite sides of the player, I put it in a corner of my room so the sound is stronger than if it sat parallel to a wall. I suggest getting the vinyl cleaning kit to help you take care of the player's needle!"

"I picked this up after Christmas when I received a UO gift card. Quick Verdict - so pleased. I had a choice between the blue and steel one or the teal green and cream one. The later is the more popular of the two. I liked the teal green and cream one, but I thought the navy blue was a little more "masculine". It looks great overall, and really accents my room so well. I have received so many compliments, even from people who wouldn't seem to enjoy the pleasures of vinyl. The audio quality is great, and the slight crackle you hear from time to time is great. It adds a little flair to it. Listening to music on my turntable is such a treat now. Sure, I listen to plenty of music on my Mac, but actually flipping a vinyl and seeing it rotate makes you really appreciate the music so much more.
Overall, GREAT purchase. Highly recommend."

"Here's the deal: it's a Crosley. Thus, it's a quality commodity. This is the third Crosley music player I now possess and it's quite delightful. The sound is perfect, tone is lovely, and noise interruption is nonexistent. Now, it's not loud enough to cater a wedding, but definitely will be appreciated at a house party. It's just a beautiful tote of rhythm and tunes. Honestly, if you are in need of a vinyl player, it's totally worth it.

"My parents bought me this record player for Christmas to play my growing collection of vinyl on, and I absolutely love it. The sound quality is great, and it's nice to have built in speakers. The cover is removable so you can set the record player on top of it. Amazing, amazing. I am so happy with it."
