Misleading Color!
"I recently bought these boots and had my family bring them to me from the States (I live in Australia). I agonized over them for about 2 months, read every single review etc. When they arrived, they looked nothing like the color online. I was under the impression that they were a caramel, tannish color. They are definitely not. They are more of a reddish, orangey brown and the color makes them look really cheap. Really disappointed!"

Ugly Color
"I was really excited to get these boots when I ordered them online. But I was immediately disappointed when I received them. The boots fit pretty well, and the ankle thing everyone keeps complaining about wasn't so bad, but the COLOR was awful. I got the tobacco boots, and in the picture it looks really nice, but when I got mine, they were this kind of ugly burnt orange. I tried wearing them with multiple outfits but it never looked right. They don't go with anything. I sold them to my friend for $80 and then bought different boots at another store."

Cute Boots!Ohio
"I got these boots in yesterday and I was very surprised at how cute they really are in person. They look great and feel great! The color takes a little getting used to...it's more of an orange-cognac color, but it's unique and will go with just about everything. Also, the boots are very slippery and have no traction, so you will need to buy some grips to put on the soles. Overall, a great buy!"

its worth it!
"I would definitely recommend these boots to anyone they fit beautifully, ive gotten so many compliments and theyre perfect for any season. I only hope that the leather is durable and they can last in the winter even with the snow. Im petite, about 5'2" and 110 pounds and they fit perfectly on me. A lot of people were complaining about the ankle room but it doesnt seem to bother me i think it actually provides for a roomier fit. If you've had your eye on these boots dont hesitate to get them!"

They Grow on YouMontana
Pros: very comfortable Cons: no traction
"I didn't love them when I first ordered them. But the more I wear them the more I love them. They look good with everything. I wear them with skirts and dresses all the time. I almost fell down while walking on a wood floor because they have absolutely no traction! They fit true to size though. I think they look better with time."

Spectacular
"I cannot even count how many compliments I have received on these boots, which I bought in the brown color. While I was hesitant to buy these online, after reading the reviews, I took the chance. The ankle room is a bit larger than necessary, but it does not change the look of the boot. The boot does not slouch because of it. I have had the boots for a couple of months now and they still look like new. I would definitely recommend this boot for only narrow to medium width feet. As for the color, my boots have more of a reddish tone to them than is pictured on the page. I would recommend buying the largest size that you normally wear when ordering these boots. These are truly spectacular equestrian-style boots."

Stiff BootsLos Angeles
"Saw these in the store but, the only pair they had left in my size was the display. From the scratches and wear, it seemed they had been tried on ALOT, so I opted to buy them online. When they came, they were in great condition, but they were EXTREMELY stiff. The first few times I wore them I felt like I couldn't even bend my toes to take a step. After a lot of effort to break them in, they finally feel ok, but I don't wear them nearly as much as I thought I would."

Comfortable and great colorNew York, NY
"I was a bit unsure when I ordered these boots because of the color. The 'tobacco' looked somewhat taupe online as opposed to a cognac, but I went ahead and ordered anyway because they're on sale. I'm glad I ordered them. When I took them out of the box, I absolutely loved the color- it's much closer to a cognac than a taupe which makes them beautiful. As others have said, they are pretty wide in terms of ankle/shaft of leg, but that makes for a nice, slouchy, casual look. However, if you want tight boots, these probably aren't for you. I've worn the boots around the house and they seem to be quite comfortable (there was none of that initial 'geez these are so tight, I'm gonna have to really break them in with the pain' thinking.). I ordered them in a size 10, and they fit well, so to that girl who was asking about size 10- they are not very pointy and the toe looks like that of equestrian boots. I personally don't think they'll make your feet look bigger or anything. They seem pretty great overall!"

Not A Bad Buy
"I was looking for flat, comfortable, yet sophisticated, simple and chic boots for a while, I had given up my search until I found these. NOW!! they may not be all the adjectives but they are totally worth the purchase. Although it is true that the ankles are big you have to keep in mind that they're "Riding" inspired boots, thats the look and it's fine you just have to know how to pull it off. they fit a bit snug but it's a preference and in due time I'm sure they're stretch 'cause it's leather! I am petite with slender legs and although there's space it feels and looks good. All I suggest is that if and when you do purchase, just wear them around your home and play dress up!!! just to see if it fits your desired style."

OK bootsNew York, NY
"They fit true to size. I bought the tobacco color and they looks sort of cheap because of the weird color. They are big in the ankle area but its not too noticeable I'm just worried that after a few wears they might start to bunch up."

"I bought these boots in the light brown because I've been dreaming of them for a year or so now. I have big feet (size 11) and its hard to find boots like these in my size. These boots are my favorite shoes I've ever bought. I wear them obsessively and always get TONS of compliments. <3 <3 <3 I wish they still had my size in black, I'd totally buy them."

don't go a size up!!
Pros: great look Cons: stretch out
"i got these for christmas, and after reading the reviews i briefly thought about ordering a half-size larger, but decided to go with my normal size, 8.5. when i got them, they fit great (baggy around the ankles, like everyone else has said, but it's okay). however, now that i've had them for two months and wear them fairly regularly, they have stretched out quite a bit! my heel always slips up when i walk and they're too wide (i don't have narrow feet, either). i really wish i'd gotten them a half-size (at least) smaller. also, they really don't have good traction. when walking downhill i have to hold on to somebody. but in all, they look great and i recommend them--but buyer beware!"

Pros: decent Cons: no traction
"Classic and will never go out of style... you can dress it up or dress it down.
It doesn't have good traction though! I almost slip a few times LOL. The leather is stiff but gets better and softens after a few wear. A bit roomy in the ankle area but I don't mind it. I shine them and not only it prolongs the life of my boots but it makes it look more expensive than they are. I'm usually a 7.5-8 but I got them in size 7"

Great for every day!
"I bought these boots in tobacco size 6, but I should have bought size 6.5 for when I want to wear thick wool socks. And when I first took them out of the box, I thought the color looked different than the pictures online. But I tried them on and liked the way it looked. The boots are snug except around the ankles, which is fine. They're very flattering and the color is actually very versatile to work with. I ended up wearing these almost every day (except when it's raining because they slip and slide a bit, I need to get the rubber pads for the bottom)."

Adorable!Clinton, MS
"I ordered these boots offline and love them! The color is great with black and brown and it is adorable with dresses. It does fit large in the calves and ankles but it gives the boots a really cute look. I have medium sized calves and they feel and look great. I did order 1/2 a size up because I have a wide foot and they fit great with thin or thick socks. I do suggest buying the pads to stick on the bottom to give you extra traction. Overall a great purchase!"

Sooo Worth ItNew York, NY
"These boots are awesome. So comfortable, color is exactly what I wanted and I don't mind the "bunching" at the ankle...they still look sweet. Also, I got caught in the snow in them and they didn't get hurt at all. I wear a 7.5 but got an 8 because I like my boots a little roomy for thick socks so I'd say fit is right on. I have medium to large calves and they fit just perfectly. Highly recommend these."

Love at second sight!
Pros: great height, comfortable, nice color
"When I first got these in the mail and opened the box, I was like these are going back! I wasn't sure on the color and they looked a lot more pointy than in the picture.
BUT then I went away for a little, looked at them again, tried them on AND I LOVE THEM!! =] Maybe not quite worth the price but that could also be because I never spend more than $30 on shoes... :)
I wear size 9 and got size 9 and they are perfect. A lot of people wrote about them being a little too wide in the ankle area. I can see this, but it's nothing worth not buying the shoe over!!
