Hooray!
"I reviewed these once, but have totally changed my tune about these shoes. The pair I received for Christmas were way too small, even though they were nines and I wear an 8 1/2. Plus getting things returned and incorrect shipping charges were hard to deal with. They were out of stock online in a 10, but my genius boyfriend ended up calling several of the stores and found a pair in New York, which they happily shipped here to Arkansas. This pair is much softer and less "cardboard-y" feeling than the last pair. They look fantastic and are actually perfectly comfortable now that I've got the right size. They've quickly become my favorite shoes ever and go with everything. Plus I get compliments on them everywhere I go, from both men and ladies. I'm sorry I ever had anything negative to say about these blessed, wonderful shoes."

"After reading previous reviews, I didn't expect too much. But I actually like these- as mentioned numerous times before, the colors is much more of a reddish-brown, and the finish is matte and not glossy like the pictures may imply. But I still think they're really cute. I'm usually a size 5/6, depending on the shoe's fit. I got these in 6, and the size is great. The only thing is that if you tighten the laces- the outer fringes kinda pop up, so you should keep the lacing relatively loose."

So much Potential!
"After listening to my going on about how beautiful these shoes were, my boyfriend bought me a pair for Christmas. Beautiful as they were, the sizing was completely off. I usually wear an 8 1/2 in flats, and I could just barely squish my foot into the 9 he got me. Both too short and too narrow. I was also disappointed at how thin the body of the shoe felt. I expected a substantial piece of leather and was surprised to find them flimsier than and just generally not as "rich" as they appear in the photo. I might also mention that the customer service associated with this order has been disappointing. He purchased three day shipping, but it took at least seven for the shoes to get here. We have contacted urban about refunding the extra for shipping, but have gotten no reply. So sad, as I've never had any problems with uo before :( At any rate, I will be returning these shoes."

"I bought this same brand and similar style (the taller ankle bootie style) and they fit perfectly, but I didn't like the taller bootie. So I returned the first pair, bought these and when they arrived, I could barely get my foot into them. They were not only too short but also too narrow, which made it so I couldn't tell if I would even like the next size up, so I gave up and returned these too :( They do start out stiff, but the pair on display in the store are ridiculously soft, so I am assuming after some wear, these will soften up."

Cute, but not comfortable...Edmond, OK
"They were not what I expected when I got them in the mail. They are extremely cute and look very high quality on the outside, but the inside of the shoe has no padding whatsoever and is stiff. I get blisters everytime I wear them. So I suggest just putting on some band aids before wearing them. And I usually wear a 7 but I REALLY should have gotten an 8, they are crazy tight."

Very uncomfortable
"Firstly, the sizing is off, which is enough to cause discomfort, but there is no arch support either, I literally felt as if I was partaking in Ancient Chinese foot binding for about a week. The tassles were also uneven. I would return them, but at this point I don't think they'd take the shoes back. Spend your money elsewhere."

"As stated below, these shoes are like a burgendy red, not brown at all. They are very slippery, they need a non-slip pad if you want to walk proper, they are matte in real life, from the photo i thought theyd have more of a gloss finish and they do run about a half a size small. But all in all they are really cute shoes once they're on, just not what you'd expect."

"When I received these shoes, they didn't look at all as they were pictured online. Since I returned them, the picture has been changed. Just a few warnings. They appear brown, but are actually almost burgundy. There actually is very little padding on the inside, and they run small, not "true to size". Also, the description should read "fits well" not "fits good"."

Not completely disappointed...CA
Pros: super cute, nice color Cons: tight, slippery
"These do run a little tight. I also don't think they look as rich in life as they do in the photos - they look flimsier and cheaper. But still really cute - I wear them all the time. I did have to add a non-stick grip pad on the bottom of the soles because I was sliding around too much on smooth floors."

"these shoes are really nice, but they run really small. i normally would wear a 7.5 in womens and i had to get an 8 1/2 in this shoe. just to give you an idea of the size conversion, an 8 1/2 in this shoe is EUR 38 1/2. hope this helps! they're worth it!"
