Not what I expected.

"I ordered this cardigan in shitake, hoping it'd be a dark brown like it is in the picture. But when I got it in the mail, it was MUCH lighter. Sort of a pale brown.

But the fit is great and it's pretty comfy."

"I'm 4'11, 90 lbs (I ordered the XS in black) and I was totally not expecting this to fit me so well--but it's just great! It's not too long and the shape is rather flattering for a cardigan! It's soft and comfy and so great because I'm always cold!"

Good Purchase
"I love this cardigan because it goes with everything, has held up well through repeated washes, and is flexible enough to wear in more than one season. It is light, but kept me warm in NYC in the beginning of March (when worn under my coat). For those of you who have long torsos, this is a great buy because it has some length."

"This cardigan follows all the BDG guidelines: soft, a little tight for its size, and unfortunately, easily frayed. Overall, though, it's the cardigan everyone needs. I recommend the earthy colors - they work with nearly everything."

Misleading picture

"The photo of the model is very misleading I thought the sweater would be a deep wine color but it's more like an emo bright purple. It is very itchy too I thought I was the only one but apparently other reviewers feel the same way. It still looks cute though and I don't mind the bright purple. Also, it's a little too big and does not fit quite true to size, so if you're a small make sure to get the smallest size. I'm normally an xs and I bought the xs and it was just a tad bit big on me."

"super itchy! I have a few of UO's soft, comfy cardigans and I just could not handle the itchiness of this one. It was cute and the color was nice, but the positives end there. Plus the tag said 'dry clean only', not hand wash like the website says."

good everyday cardigan
"so I have this in french roast, and I love it. It fits really well, but its not too baggy. I got an xsmall and it hits right below my butt (I'm about 5'2"). The color is a bit brighter than I was expecting, but its really soft and goes with just about anything."

"I bought this sweater on sale, since I didn't think a plain cardigan warranted a 54$ price tag, and I think for 30$, it was worth it. I bought a small size, and it fits well, but if you want the fit to appear baggy as it does in the picture, I would recommend ordering a size up, as this cardigan definitely does not reach the middle of my thighs (i am 5'5, 107 lbs.). i got it in "french roast", which ended up being a little more of a bright purple than shown on the website, but it's still a nice color that pairs with pretty much anything. the material isn't scratchy and seems durable."

"my bestfriend bought me this cardigan for christmas in the french roast color, and i love it! the color is a deep purple which is really pretty and it fits perfectly! i got an xs, which i normally always get, and it isn't way too long, the arms fit nice, and it isn't way too tight! i'm pretty sure i'll be wearing this way too often!"

My #1 Cardigan

"I will wear this cardigan at least 3x a week! I got it in black in a M (I'm 5'5") and it goes right below my butt as well yayyyuhhhh
It goes with just about 90% of my wardrobe. I can pair it with a lace cami, V-neck, a flannel...and it looks so cute with a dress the same length as the cardigan itself. Or with a v-neck tucked in a mini (like as shown on the model).
And I can still sport a scarf or a long-chain necklace without making my outfit looked over-done!
prrrrrr.Fect for the fall season. The sun is still shining here in Cali, but I'm not sweating like a pig in it (light wool cause it's mixed.) & it's not itchyyyy

Oh, but. Be knowledgeable by reading the tags of everything you buy from UO! *hand wash* means... HANDWASH !"

Good Sweater, Bad Color
"I like the sweater, but was expecting it to look like the picture: brown. Instead, it's a really faded and gross colored "brown" and doesn't really match anything. Disappointing considering it was over 50 bucks. If it had been portrayed in this color online I wouldn't have bought it."
