"I am obsessed with Frye boots!!!! best $200 I have EVER spent. They are so stylish and so comfy once worn in, I worn down the heel as well, but I just got it replaced for like $20...they go with everything and give your outfit a bit of an edge. In response to the girls who got blisters, if they knew anything about high quality leather boots, you need to wear TWO pairs of socks at first and then you'll wear them in after a couple of weeks without getting blisters, it's not that big of a hassle. heavy wool socks would probably do as well. if you're looking for an awesome pair of boots that will last a lifetime, pick these. the engineer never goes out of style."

Great, BUT
(May 19, 2013)
"I fell in LOVE with these delicious boots after seeing them elsewhere online but decided to hunt around a bit more, and so glad I did! After reading the reviews here, I ordered a 7 (my true size) and on their arrival I discovered they are a great fit ONCE ON, but too tight around the ankle to be an easy fit. If I had of known this I would have ordered a 7.5, just a warning. But beautiful boots otherwise!"

OHMYGAWD.. anything is possible in these boots.
(March 25, 2013)
"These bad boys..... are amazing. I had had my eye on them for over a year, but just couldn't justify the price and the postage (being in Aus). I had a birthday not long ago and with some of my birthday dolla bills I decided it was finally time. I read every single review on this page to to help me with my sizing choice. I am generally a size 9, but i have quite a wide foot, and was worried this may be an issue, as it usually is. Majority of the reviews said go with your normal size, so i did and got them in a 9. To be honest.. they are actually a tiny bit big! This does not usually happen to me. However it is not a problem as i am from a cooler area in Aus and i can wear some thick woolly socks with these beasts! They are the coolest thing i now own and i get compliment after compliment. If you are eyeing these boots off... DO IT!"

A+ Quality Leather
(December 25, 2012)
"I got these boots today for Christmas after wanting them for months, and I was slightly worried that I wouldn't like them as much in person, seeing as I had only ever seen them online. However, let me tell you that they are perfect. They look exactly the same in person as they do in the pictures, and the quality of the leather is to die for. I've never been someone who thinks too much about the quality of my clothes or shoes, and I will often buy things that are pretty low quality merely because they are stylish. These, however, are breath taking. I can't help but notice the amazing quality and just overall beauty of the construction and materials put into these boots. Not to mention they are so cute! They are not at all bulky in my opinion, and I'm somewhat petite at 5'3. The height of the boots is also perfect and overall I'm just in love. Buy these immediately! SERIOUSLY"

The most perfect classic boot..ever!
(December 1, 2012)
"I bought this boot from the frye website because I was nervous that the size 10 from the UBO site would be too small. I'm so glad I did! These boots definitely run true to size. They're so comfortable, heavy, classic & beautifully made. The leather quality is absolute perfection.
I was hesitant about buying these boots because of the price. But let me tell you..ITS SO WORTH IT! & they go with everything."
"I live in Alberta and we have snow for about 8 or 9 months of the year. You really need a good pair of winter boots with a serious grip.
I have a size 9 foot, but it's extremely narrow. I tried these on in another store only to realize that they fit rather wide. I went down to a size 8. I feel as though if you have a wider foot, you can order your true size.
The boots might not particularly be a good choice if you have a higher instep because the vamp is so tight.
All in all, an awesome purchase and I am so glad I finally got these lovely boots. Since Frye is all handmade, I did notice a tiny discrepancy in the fitting of the 8's I ordered on here and the 8's I tried on at another shoe store. But don't let that discourage you!"

amazing!
(October 9, 2012)
"I love these boots! Definitely worth the money. I wear them at least five times a week. I'm obsessed! They took a weekend or so to break in, but now they fit comfortably and the leather has molded to my foot so they feel extra awesome. I'm around 5 foot 3 and the height of the boot doesn't overwhelm me. Although they look 'clunky', they really do go with anything! One small problem I have is that my boots are prone to leaving black marks on my socks and bare legs, so I imagine they'd leave marks on lighter coloured pants. I just avoid wearing lighter pants and wear socks that come up to the top of the boot when I wear shorts or skirts. I get lots of compliments on them, and I definitely think they're a good quality boot that's made to last! I recommend these engineer boots:)"

Great Boots
(October 7, 2012)
"I love them- the color, the quality, the heel. They're just a little big, and you can't wear them without tights/pants because it rubs against the back of your leg. Other than that, I love them!"

Amazing Boot
(September 9, 2012)
"These boots are totally amazing. I had zero break in time. Right out of the box they fit really nice and are great. My feet are generally an 8.5 but I went up a half size and ordered a 9 and they fit perfect, I am sure they will stretch out and become even better with time. If you are on the fence - get off and buy these boots. Worth every penny."

Yaaay! Amazing boots!
(March 15, 2012)
"I ordered these when they were on sale, and have been waiting for them to arrive for a while. They got here a few days ago and filled ever expectation. Such good quality boots- beautiful leather, and made to last. They're a little uncomfortable until they're fully broken in, but once they are they're the best boots in the world. I noted some reviewers said the opening was a bit wide- but you can adjust it with a little buckle to be smaller, and then it's fine. Love them!"

Great purchase! You will not be sorry.
(December 23, 2011)
"I've had these boots for over a year and I still wear them nearly every day! They are so comfortable a durable. I actually think they look ever better when they are distressed (the true mark of a good boot). They look good with everything. I wear them with dresses and skinny jeans. I do know of some pickier people who've complained that the boot opening is too wide, but I find no issue with it. You might want to order them a half size larger than your true size. I found them to be uncomfortable for a little while because I ordered my true size and they were a tad tighter than I would have liked. No regrets! If someone broke into my house and stole my pair today I'd order another pair tomorrow!"

Worth it!
(December 18, 2011)
"I'd been meaning to purchase a pair of classic, durable leather boots for ages now but I'd been putting it off as long as possible because classic durable boots often come with not as attractive price tags. However, I can honestly say that these were completely worth every penny. Initially I was worried that they would overwhelm me since I'm 5'3 and 101 lbs but the short shaft of the boot is perfect for the style since they're very utilitarian and tough looking. I had to go up half a size from a 5.5 to a 6 but because I've been wearing 2 pairs of thick socks with them to avoid blisters, there's no problem. I'd say that they run a little bit small for people who have wider feet so go up half a size if you do. The leather is very thick and stiff and has this matte sheen to it which makes it resemble rubber but I'm sure it'll go away once I break them in. My only complaint is that the ankle strap doesn't get any tighter so it's mostly just for decoration . Nevertheless it's a fantastic boot. I can definitely see these lasting for decades and staying fashionable until then as well! If you were contemplating buying these just buy them! You won't regret it."

couldnt ask for a better pair of boots
(September 23, 2011)
"i bought these boots from URBN almost 8 years ago (although they were a slightly darker brown) and they have lasted me ever since. the only thing is i had to get the heels replaced, since i drag my feet when i walk, which isnt really the boots fault. so other than that, this was the best 200 bucks ive ever spent on a pair of shoes. period. FRYE boots are LIFE boots!"

Great, but...
(September 7, 2011)
"Love these boots... mostly love them because they're great looking and clearly insanely durable (after all, theyre Frye...). However, I can't wear them. I literally ran home today to change out of them because they give me such horrible blisters on my heels!!!!! I know leather often needs to be broken in, but this is ridiculous. I've had them for 2 years and I can count how many times I've actually worn them because of the pain. Be prepared to maybe take to a leather/shoe specialist and have them help you make them a bit more supple... I'm going to look into that."

For The Love of Boots...
(June 26, 2011)
"Yes, I got blisters the first few days of wearing them. The leather needs to be broken in and that will take a while considering HOW stiff they really are... They're not high boots, either. The picture makes them look like they've got a little height to them, but they REALLY don't at all. I'm a size 8 in most shoes, and these were a little difficult to get on my feet due to my high arches. They were tight in the toes but like all leather, they do conform to your feet. FRYE boots are made to last a lifetime (my mother made it a point to bring her FRYE boots out of the attic to show me they were still intact from the 70s). In my opinion, they are well worth the money."

SO in love
(March 25, 2011)
"one word for this boots- amazing! i am a size 9 & ordered a 9, the fit is great. My right foot is about 1/3 of a size bigger than my left, so they did fit a bit more snug on that foot- but nothing a little working in won't fix. I've worn them for the past 3 days now and they are softening up already! The style is amazing- they look great with jeans and especially badass with a cute dress or skirt. I've gotten billions of compliments already! The heel is the prefect height as well, not too high but just high enough they elongate your leg without being uncomfortable or hard to walk in. The rubber gripped sole is amazing for this time of year (spring) and they've got these great built in insoles for extra comfort. If you are debating about buying these, BUY THEM! You will not regret it!!!"
