Its not meant to take great photos.
(May 12, 2013)
"It was originally made as a toy camera. Its not meant to be comparable to an SLR or a digital camera. It takes arty photos, not legit photos. Its great for fun! A cute toy and novelty :-)"

Ehhh. . .
(October 6, 2012)
"I'm not a fan of this camera. I got the neptune green + flash for my birthday and I had really, really, really wanted it. In the end it was very disappointing It's really confusing (especially for first time-ers) and doesn't take great pictures. I don't recommend it unless you have experience with this type of camera."

LOVE this little guy!
(January 8, 2012)
"Out of all my lomo cameras my diana F+ is my favorite, it pretty much goes with me wherever I go. I don't focus too much on technique at all when I use it, for me it's definitely a point and click right away sort of thing. If you're used to digital cameras and taking a ton of shots until you find the "perfect" image, then this camera is not for you. It's all about the moment, and accepting mistakes."

"GREAT PURCHASE. This is the cutest pinhole camera ever. I just love it.
I haven't had the chance to take pictures with it yet, but when I can assure it is beautiful.
I'm so excited to try it for the first time!"

Great Pictures
(October 15, 2011)
"The photos that can be produced on this camera are mysterious and beautiful. There is definitely a vintage touch to the pictures. I take this camera everywhere! Although the film and processing charges are expensive, it's worth it"
"I bought this camera for my friend and she sent me the pictures (i took a couple pictures and put the film in, etc.) Its pretty simple to work and its not TO hard to find a place that developes vintage film, and the film isnt very expensive at all, for $24 you get 36 pictures. i think the pictures turned out awesome, i think i might buy me one of these :)
the only problem is that people say the bottom of it has light leakage or something, my friend said she would tell me if there was a problem with it but so far theres no problems :)"

Not pastel!
(August 2, 2011)
"I was so excited to receive my first Diana in a soft, tone of pastel green but off the screen, in real life the color is more bright and dark. The color of the item should be more accurate.
I shot my first roll and only one photo turned out. I'm sure that was my fault though >.>"
"I thought this would be a really, super washed out mint green, but it's darker than it looks in the photos and doesn't really go well with the white it's paired with in my opinion. Other than that, it feels pretty well-built for a toy camera."

Brilliant
(December 12, 2010)
"I love this camera. It brings you back to the basics and allows you to rediscover what photography is all about. I've been shooting with it since the summer. It's always a mystery how your pictures are going to come out. I recommend using it on a day with lots of sunlight. The flash is also a good investment. No digital camera can beat the color resolution."
"If you're buying this camera because you've specifically sought out a Diana, it's lovely. The color of the camera is more saturated and greener than it looks in the picture, in my opinion. It comes with a nice book on Diana cameras and is nicely packaged. Don't skip the instruction manual unless you've used one of these cameras before. Takes lovely photos once you figure it out, and really seems to encourage experimentation: double exposures, pinhole shots, etc. I highly recommend the 35mm back, too. It's a bit pricey, but makes these experiments a lot cheaper while you're still mastering the camera.
If you're unfamiliar with Diana cameras, or toy cameras in general, you should be aware that this is an overpriced, cheaply made, plastic camera that takes unpredictable, blurry photos and is prone to light leaks. Exposing photos properly takes time to figure out and the viewfinder is more of a guesstimate than an accurate view of what you're taking a picture of. This is all part of Diana's appeal, but if it doesn't sound appealing to you, consider another camera."
"Aesthetic of this camera is great but I wasn't familiar with 120mm film and the camera was too plastic to function well."

Great Camera
(September 26, 2010)
Pros: cute, takes great pics
Cons: film is hard to find
"I love this camera. I bought it for a long roadtrip and took some pretty pictures in Yosemite that turned out very well. They look like I took them back in the 60s and that's exactly what I was hoping for.
My only problem is the film. It only has 16 exposures and is very hard to find. I'm thinking about the 35mm adapter now..... even though it's $50. :/ Oh well. It's a great camera and I'm glad to be back with film after using digital cameras for so long."

what you see is what you get
(September 21, 2010)
Pros: cute very cute
Cons: light (dont have your life dependent on the strap), the 120 film
"personally i'm an avid user of lomography cameras, been wanting a diana f+ for a long time and i thought this cute little camera could be the first. basically: know the settings, very cute camera, photos are indeed dreamy, fun to shoot with, 120 film is expensive to develop/purchase, invest in a 35mm back, it'll help a huge lot, i promise you. overall, i reccomend this awesome little thing. just have fun shooting :)"

Unpredictable
(August 30, 2010)
"I feel like this camera is unpredictable. You aren't guaranteed the get the image you see through the viewfinder, but that's what I like about it. It IS a toy camera, after all. The images do come out very dream-like, which is awesome. Buying the medium format film and having it developed does end up costing a lot of money though, since you can only shoot 12-16 shots per roll, so I would probably recommend to get the 35mm version of Diana if you don't develop film/photos yourself. Thanks for carrying this in store, UO."

Mixed feelings
(August 8, 2010)
"I'm a photographer and bought this as a cheap way to mess around with 120. I put three rolls through it, all of which turned out pretty terrible... I'm sure there's a technique to these little plastic cameras, but it wasn't worth it to me. If you're serious about photography, save up for a better medium format."

so fun
(July 1, 2010)
"this camera is so fun and it works great so far, i'm glad i chose the Diana to be my next camera"
"I love this colour so much! It's so vintage, and exclusive to UO. I think it's the best colour around! On the other hand, it's like any other holga. I had a black one already and it's nothing different. It looks gorgeous when you take it out though. Just remember it's very light plastic, more like a toy. It's a fun camera, that you can experiment with, and if you like that, go for it!"
