Mixed feelings but great bag
"For the most part, I love this bag. Pro's: the LEATHER is by far the best thing about this bag- its soft and beautiful; front pockets are roomy enough for larger cell phone, small camera, etc… and have nice snap closures; smaller strap is a good size to fit on shoulder; inner magnet closure is a dream and shuts the bag together nicely; I like the 3 inner sections and use the narrow middle one for a thin day planner and it adds stability to the bag; Con's: the longer removable strap is nice and adjustable but when you take it off, the buckle is awkwardly sticking up and totally in the way....it was just a bad placement all together! I've been wearing the bag without the longer strap and wish I could just get the buckle for the longer strap removed! I can see too that there is some stitching coming loose around the handle area and I've only had it for a few weeks!; also, the lining is the same dark green color as the leather so its very dark and it makes it hard to find loose items...I also hate the satin they used for the lining....satin in great, but not to line a super heavy leather bag....it begs for a colorful canvas or cotton lining…something more durable and bright. I wish the description indicated the type of lining. Overall, the bag is lovely for the price (I got it on sale), and so far, the pros outweigh the cons....let's hope the strap or lining doesn't fail me it did for some!"

A Dysfunctional Beauty.......Dallas, TX
"I was sooo ecstatic when I stumbled across this bag, that I purchased it despite the mixed reviews. When I initially received the bag, I was in awe...the shade of purple is beautiful and exquisite...the style of the bag is ideal for the fast paced world we live in, considering most women use their purses or tote bags as carry-alls. BUT, my optimism was short felt... the 'actual' size caught me off guard, not by sight though...it wasn't until i tried to put my belongings into it, that I realized this bag was much smaller than I had anticipated. As most women, I carry 'the' all day essentials in my handbag... average sized wallet, small make-up bag, itouch, iphone, purse-size hand moisturizer, shades, pack of gum, pen and a small vitamin case...sounds like a lot of stuff, but they're all pretty thin or small items...but i couldn't even get them situated into this bag. I think that the bag is much too tall, width is perfect but depth is too little. Thing is, the interior is sectioned into three compartments and the middle one should be obsolete, it would allow more leeway and it wouldn't feel so tight. Which sucks, because it’s a beautiful bag...to make matters worst, I've had the bag for 35 days and the strap curse from other reviews has affected me. The hand strap is coming apart and ripped in the area that connects the additional, removable strap to the rest of the bag. I'm hoping to get a refund...I'm greatly disappointed in the quality of this absolutely beautiful bag."

Pros: super cute Cons: falling apart after light use
"I really loved this bag, so much so that I had bought it despite reading some reviews that said the handles fell apart after a short amount of time. The strap on my bag didn't fall apart, and I've had it for about two months; however, the entire lining on the inside came out, making it impossible to use unless I want to spend 20 minutes looking for everything I need that fell into the new, ragged pocket between the lining and the inside of the bag. Total pain. The sad thing is, like the other girls said, it's a really nice looking bag. I love the size, the design, the color (grey). Not sure what I'll do about it. Not really an easy fix."

Wonderful Bag, Terrible StrapsSan Francisco, CA
Cons: terrible straps
"I purchased this bag nine months ago. It's a great bag as far a storage goes... can hold books, water bottles, make-up. You name it. I especially loved it for its number of pockets, great for your keys and cell phone. However, I have to agree with all the other reviews: the straps on this bag are TERRIBLE. They first began to fray about a month or two into using (I also use this everyday, so there is more wear on the bag). Still, the leather is of excellent quality and held-up. It wasn't until last month the strap actually broke (A defect of the hardware). Luckily I was able to exchange it for store credit. I love the Sabina, and will be purchasing my replacement from them, but I would think twice about purchasing this particular style. Especially for everyday use."

"I'd been saving up for this bag for a while and I just got it a few weeks ago. I love it so much! The leather is so soft and the lining is great as well. I haven't had any problems with it and I get tons of compliments!"

"I wanted this purse since December. My guy got it for me as a birthday present this month. It looked beautiful when I took it out of the box. I love all the room in it ,the pockets ,the feel but within a week the whole inside lining completely separated and frayed...:( Customer service said they will send me a new one lets hope for better luck. Still love it!"

Super cute but...
"I got this bag over the summer, and I LOVED it- I got it in the sienna brown color. I get tons of compliments when I carry it, it's super cute... BUT The straps are falling apart! I had to take a break from carrying it for a little while because the center straps that I used to carry the bag are literally shredding. I'm going to have to look into getting them replaced, because I really love the bag!"

I've been lusting after this bag for a while...
"And was so excited to get it for Christmas. I got it in the grey color and am very happy with it! The leather is very nice quality and the satin lining is smooth and blends nicely with the color of the bag. I used a waterproof spray on it and that seems to have protected it pretty well against rain/water. Only complaint is that the inside divider is a bit bulky...I've thought about removing it so the bag is bigger inside."

"this is just as soft and buttery as every previous reviewer has mentioned, and lovely to look at. so, so many pockets (it's kind of crazy how many there are, actually)!
unfortunately, the middle divider pocket makes this bag seem much smaller than i had expected. sure, there's plenty of places to put tinier things, but where's the room for a water bottle? or a book?"

"I got it in purple but i was second guessing the color because i also wanted it in black, but when i opened the package i was thrilled! i love the purple, it is brighter than the picture, which i was scared it would be but i actually really like it! the leather is flimsy but it doesnt matter, the inside is so satiny too, very VERY soft. i just love it. its DEFINITELY not a good alternative for a schoolbag or labtop bag, because it most likely will break (the bag), its not that durable, but its perfect for an everyday handbag. i just got it so i dont know if they handle will break or not like the rest of the reviews say.... but i want one in black now too."

"I was looking for a bag that wouldn't be too overly designer or cheap-looking, so then I found the Sabina bag. I got my bag today in the mail after what seemed like the LONGEST time, since my order had to be rescheduled for some odd reason. The wait was worth it though because it is the cutest thing ever! I got mine in the Lagoon color and it makes the bag look very classy and sophisticated. The leather is not thin at all and feels quite authentic, since after all, Sabina claims it's genuine leather. The bag is wonderful because it has so many compartments to store lots of things. The two pockets in the front are magnetically opened and closed as expected. The long strap is detachable as well. The overall design of this bag is beautiful, considering how this was my first ever bag purchase (usually they are gifts) and how I'm extremely picky when it comes to that. If there are any downsides to this bag, it would be the tiny scratches I I see if I looked very closely, but unless you are a n a l they wouldn't be bothersome). The only worry I have is the other reviews saying how the straps may easily fall apart. Nevertheless, I honestly can't wait to use this bag :)"

"received this bag as a gift and at first sight loved it!! received many many compliments and the two strab design was perfect for the different ways i carry the bag. Plus the many carpartments and pockets are perfect. but, just after 2 months, the smaller strap started literlly break down and fall apart. i had to take to back. The weight I put in the bag was average, wallet, sunglasses, etc., AND it was only day bag use too. I always use a clutch in the evening. if they could redesign the straps, this bag would be perfect!"

Disappointed
"I read the reviews before buying this bag and I decided to take a chance and buy it. But I was extremely disappointed when I received it in the mail. The bag's stitching was coming apart, there were dark stains on it (I bought the gray color) and it had an awful smell. The shape of the bag doesn't compare to the photos. Beware!!"

"I just got my bag [in lagoon] and I love it! It is BEAUTIFUL leather and a great design. It holds every I need, and I carry everything. I did not have any problems with the wrapping sticking or anything like in other reviews. The straps are fine, there aren't going to be problems; UNLESS you are crazy and decide to carry lots of books or a heavy laptop in it. IT IS NOT MADE FOR THAT. Don't get me wrong this is a great quality purse and can hold a lot, but it is not meant to be a book bag. If you treat it like a purse and not luggage you will be fine. It looks fantastic and feels so soft. You will not regret this purchase."

great bag, not so great quality
"i, like most others who've reviewed this bag, loved it. i got tons of compliments on it and it was very functional and roomy. unfortunately, the pockets sewn into the inside lining began to come apart. but, still i continued to use the bag because it wasn't the end of the world. then, one morning, just as i was leaving for work, the handle fell off! luckily, its a convertible bag so i was able to use the shoulder strap. i eventually called urban to exchange it and they were happy to help. at the time, they were out of stock so i ended up receiving a credit for the full amount. i still miss the bag but the quality needs to be a bit more dependable..."

"I bought this awesome Sabina bag about 4 months ago in the moss green color originally, but the bag I got was defective. I exchanged it for the purple color, and I absolutely love it! I get complimented on it everywhere I go, and my friends are so jealous. I really don't agree with many of the other posts that say the leather is thin, because mine is very durable and made of great quality. I use this bag all the time, along with the Sabina Leather 70's bag, and my handles have yet to show any evidence of them falling apart. Overall, I would definitely suggest getting this bag! I know it may seem a little expensive, but you get what you pay for. I search the web non-stop for awesome purses, and I keep coming back to the Sabina bags. I'm getting ready to purchase the Sabina Leather Lady Satchel, I just can't decide between the two awesome colors!"

"It's going to be hard to go against the all these positive reviews. I too, was super stoked about this bag. I got it in lagoon after a lot of pondering (literally, weeks). I decided it would be the perfect bag to use while I'm abroad. Also, I figured it would work for books and even my laptop. If I hadn't decided it was the exact right bag, I would never have dropped so much money. This bag is seriously expensive. But, when I got it, I thought it was worth it. Very, very pretty bag and quality leather (it's not thin, for real). What has since changed my mind are my experiences actually using it. I can't carry anything heavy at all or risk, YES, the handle tearing off. I can tell it will be inevitable. I have no idea why the entire bag would be made of strong leather except for the part which keeps the handle attached? The partition in the middle makes it a bit hard to fit any large notebooks or books. The long strap is not actually detachable, you're just able to kind of undo it. In the end, I mean, I like it, it's cute! But for me, it just does not work as the bag I expected it to be. A let down."

"i got this bag like 3 months ago, in black duh! and i love it! i wanted a nicer bag instead of paying $60 bucks for one that will fall apart in 3 months. The shoulder strap hits perfect the leather is soft, and i even fit 2 bottles of wine in it! crucial! my bff and i are now obsessed with the Sabina bags because they look nice, are really cute and love the colors!"
